Join filmmakers Richard Tanner and Nik Uttam as they look back fondly on every episode of the hit 90’s show from Nickelodeon that influenced so many young horror fans: ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?   Richard Tanner is an award-winning writer, director, and regular Morbidly Beautiful Contributor.  He is also the owner of A Buck Short Productions. Nik Uttam is a Filmmaker and podcaster that has seen every movie from the 80’s… twice.  He is an editor and cinematographer who started the company Reel Independent Productions to get a better reach into the world of horror.   Follow Rick and Nik every Thursday right her on morbidlybeautiful.com as they join The Midnight Society for thrills and chills that will warm your heart and make your blood run cold!   Gather around The Campfire this week to hear reviews on episodes 5 and 6 of “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” The Tale of the Hungry Hounds (Season 1, Episode 5: Original Air Date: September 12th, 1992) and The Tale of the Super Specs (Season 1, Episode 6 Original Air Date: September 19, 1992).   In The Tale of the Hungry Hounds, Two cousins go to an attic where one of them tries on a uniform that belonged to a dead aunt who has some unfinished business with a few hound dogs and a fox.    Richard becomes a spokesman for Nickelodeon Home VHS industry a few years too late.   In the Tale of The Super Specs, Weeds, a prankster, buys his girlfriend Marybeth a pair of super spec glasses as part of his April's Fool Day collection.
