In the Season One finale of The Case, the Oconee County Sheriff's Office shares with Kirk Minihane information that might be the key to understanding a web of death and deceit in Walhalla, South Carolina.
What began as an investigation into the disappearance of 17-year-old Jennifer Fay in Brockton 30 years ago concludes as a sweeping investigation into several people who have died mysteriously or are currently missing.
The thread that ties these tragic cases together is Kevin W. Maler, a former resident of Jennifer's Brockton neighborhood and a person of interest in her disappearance. Law enforcement also believe Maler may have been involved in the disappearance of Faith Roach in 2019.
Maler has an upcoming court date for drug and firearms charges on May 26, but he is currently on the lam, hiding from law enforcement. You can find every episode of this show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or YouTube. For more than three decades, Jennifer Fay's family has searched desperately for answers. What happened to Jennifer that night in November of 1989? Why didn't the Brockton Police investigate more aggressively? Why have people who know what happened remained silent?
In the penultimate episode of The Case, Kirk Minihane revisits the three-decade long investigation, the many false leads and dead ends, and the suffering Jennifer's family has endured since she mysteriously disappeared. You can find every episode of this show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or YouTube. Kevin Wayne Maler, the man who was named a person of interest in the disappearance of Faith Roach by the sheriff of Oconee County, claims he's never been violent toward women, that he's a protector of women.
The women in his life tell a different story.
In Episode Six of The Case, Kirk Minihane speaks with several women that Maler had relationships with over the last four decades. The portrait that emerged was one of a horrifyingly violent man and a serial abuser. A man who preyed on underage girls and abandoned his children. And a man who is capable of deceiving everyone in his life about what he truly is.You can find every episode of this show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or YouTube. In 2010, Kevin Maler sat for a 2.5 hour interrogation with a team of private investigators who were looking into the disappearance of Jennifer Fay. Eleven years later, Maler is once again answering questions about his potential involvement in not only Jennifer's case, but also several other missing persons and mysterious deaths. At Kevin's request, we arranged for him to sit for a polygraph examination. Episode Five blends the 2010 interrogation with the 2021 polygraph examination and a subsequent interview with Kirk Minihane. You can find every episode of this show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or YouTube. In Episode Four of The Case, Kirk Minihane revisits the 2019 deaths of April Norton Jones and Kevin Kyle Craig. Officially, April died of an overdose, Kevin of methamphetamine withdrawal. If he wasn't in the area when Jennifer disappeared how was he interacting with the Natales?
if you tell someone, if I die....this person did it, you need to cover yourself. arm yourself, leave a written log about what is happening and tell someone you trust where to find it. put nanny cams all over your house in your car. leave a trail....if it happens.
I miss Steve
Stop stop STOP!!!! You are NOT a good person, you are NOT a defender of the weak, you are NOT a hero! Enough already, no one is buying your story
FFS this guy's delusional 'white knight' complex is ridiculous and infuriating!!!! He's a dead beat, a liar, an abuser, chooses women (naive girls!) decades younger than himself to get into relationships with and yet still thinks people blindly believe his self serving narrative. 🤮
Liar liar pants on fire!!
Enjoyed the investigation podcast. totally binge worthy.
He "fell asleep" several times because he was using heroin. He was intentionally messing up the polygraph. My ex used Fentanyl (basically legal heroin), and he would fall asleep standing up. I thought he was just really tired from working 16 hour shifts at work. I was so naive then.
Faiths family deserves the truth! I pray for her family daily.
I do not understand why Sheriff Crenshaw doesn't have "Boston" in custody! Yes I do, he's afraid it's going to start unraveling around him. Prayers for the families.
I totally enjoy listenig to your podcast. Please continue the good work you are during. 👍👍👍
Innocent until proven guilty.. WHAT? I know people who have been given harsher sentences for lesser drug offenses. Murder investigation aside, this man has been arrested so many time the he should have a special cell.
When do new episodes come out? I heard you on Drew Gerabo Live yesterday and listened to all the episodes last night!!! Im antsy for a new one!!! Love it
Really digging this podcast
This definitely hits close to home especially since a lot of of people here in Seneca SC know Faith. I myself didn’t know Faith well but the few times I did meet and speak to her at school she was always super sweet. I’m praying her family will soon have answers and that Faith will be found. I also pray that God will soften the heart of whoever is involved in Faith’s disappearance or who knows what happened so that they will come forward and tell the truth so that her family will find some sense of peace.
Good job, Kirk.
