HI EVERYONE!! I'm finally back with a new episode after 4 months. (Thank you so much for being patient with me!) In today's podcast, I talk about my new year's resolutions and habits I want to kick out in 2024. From reading more messy & unhinged female protagonists to going cold turkey on Coke Zero, here's how my year has been shaping up so far! It's been a hot minute since I uploaded my last episode, but today I'm back with a new one (the longest one yet!). I turned 24 this year and looking back, I've learnt a lot while becoming a full-fledged adult. Transitioning from your teenage years to adulthood can be really challenging and there's bound to be a lot of ups and downs. Now at 24, I would love to share some big sister advice with you (or we can just wallow together here). I recently came to terms with how social media has drastically increased my screen time and bad vision habits. After doom-scrolling on tiktok for several hours, a few months ago, I decided that it’s finally time to take action. Doing so was challenging for a couple of reasons: firstly, social media is the perfect distraction for me — it fills the silence during my commutes and gives me an instant dopamine rush whenever I feel bored. Secondly, a lot of my work deals with social media, which means there are limits to how much I can reduce. With these challenges in mind, in today’s episode, I dive into my relationship with social media (mostly tiktok) and how I’ve been trying to reduce my screen time. Maintaining friendships after uni and college can be difficult as people move to different cities, start new jobs and have new priorities. In this week's episode, I talk about the joys of living on campus with my friends and how these friendships have evolved after graduation. I also discuss how I've approached maintaining long-distance friendships and how my close friends and I stay connected. Decluttering is something that I've always struggled with. I also love buying clothes and holding onto them because I'm sentimental. In today's episode, I discuss the benefits of decluttering, how I approach decluttering with a gamified process and my ongoing journey towards becoming a more conscious consumer.
