Life is a marathon, sometimes we allow life to happen to us. But success requires constant check in and self re-evaluating, even when things are going good. In 2020 the principles I am framing my year around are gratitude and expectancy.
During my recent trip to Detroit I was amazed at how far the city had come. Last time I visited the Motor City it was lifeless, definitely not a travel destination. This trip was different, I was very impressed by the downtown scene. I stayed at the Shinola Hotel and discovered Warby Paker sunglasses, MadCap coffee, The Lip bar , Le Labo Fragrances, and more.
I am in the middle of reading Malcolm Gladwell’s New York Times best seller, “Outliers”. One of the main frames of the book is the idea that it takes 10,000 hours minimum to become an expert at anything. In this episode we will dive into that idea and break down what 10,000 hours really looks like.
