UMSL awards grants to emerging businesses in St. Louis

Dr Scott Morris, Executive Director of UMSL's Entrepreneurship & Innovation Center, joins Amy and Chris as the center is awarding $90-thousand in grants to nine emerging businesses. 'We're looking for businesses that are at that growth phase' and will work with the businesses on business plans and getting them in front of additional possible funders, Scott explains. He says the businesses need to be in St Louis and the owner is 100% invested, as well as be 'beyond the trial and error phase.'
