Episode Notes He ( Jesus ) explained or interpreted the Old Testament Scriptures to them. Probably he showed them that their notions of the Messiah were not according to the Scriptures. This tells us that what they expected is not what eventually happened in the reality of how it truly was. Further, they expected a temporal prince; they were perplexed because Jesus had not assumed the regal power, but had been put to death.
