Description
With the global pandemic seeming to never reach an end we craved the old talks of friends in a circle talking about anything and everything we find passion in. From hunting and fishing tall tales to natural living practices, recent book reads and new songs to listen to - we plan on discussing all things we love and interviewing those who know more than we do. Step into the circle with us.

On Episode 7 of The Circle we extended the campfire to include a good friend of ours, Chris (or Burch). We got to talk to him a little about being a new hunter and how he has gone about learning and falling into the world of harvesting your own meat as well as a little discussion on cooking. As usual we took the conversation all over to talk about things like dog training, high school football, and plans for the fall season coming up. Appreciate Burch coming on and we will have him on more for sure in the future!
The 6th installment of the Circle Podcast covers to many topics to count. From olympic lifting to yoga and its "cult like" practices (but how necessary the stretches are), to hiking off trail and ammo shortages - this one is not boring to say the least. Climb aboard, its going to get bumpy
In Episode 5 we cover a lot of topics but mainly focus on weight lifting and specifically Forest's experience being trained by a former Olympic level lifter. We touch on a few "super foods" and growing some winter vegetables for the upcoming cold season. We also touched back on last weeks episode where we talked about Public Land with a few updates on legislation passed as well as CWD (which we are sure to cover at some point in more detail).
In our second part of the Hunting series of the podcast we cover a few questions asked of us on twitter and try to begin the broad conversation on a few different topics regarding public land: What is public land? Can I hunt public land? How do you access these lands or find out where they even are? We also talked a little bit about the recent Great American Outdoors Act and what it means for hunting and recreation around the country. This is an ongoing conversation and could only be covered in the broad spectrum - we hope to dive deeper into it as we go along this journey. Thanks for listening and being a part of the conversation!
In this episode we do a follow up on the trail cameras and mock-scrape discussed in Episode 2 as well as an lengthily discussion on supplements and ingredients not only in those supplements but food in general (as well as sunscreen) and what we think you should look out for. Forrest wages war against soy and Andy starts a supplement regimen with creatine and shares science backed articles we will link on twitter if you want to reference while listening.
Our second episode is first in a series of episodes (that will continue in the future) all about the Hunting Lifestyle and how it has positively impacted our lives. In this episode we tried to stick to the basics of: How to start from scratch, pre-season scouting, what hunting means to us, hunter eduction, cost of hunting, and a few more odds and ends that will likely be covered in more detail in the future. Let us know if there is anything hunting specific you would like to hear in a future podcast!
Disclaimer: This topic will not be covered every week, so if hunting isn't your jam we respect that and hope you will tune in to other Circle conversations!
Episode 1 of The Circle Podcast. We wanted to use this episode as a short intro to what this podcast will be about: we want emulate the good times and conversations had when a group of people get in a circle and talk with no distractions about things they are individually and as a group passionate about. We imagine this (due to personal experiences) taking place around a fire - however we have known it to happen anywhere people gather: a living room, in a vehicle on a road trip, around a home cooked meal, in a place of worship, etc. We hope to cover the topics of simplicity, naturalistic lifestyles, ethical living, hunting and gathering, personal hobbies, and anything anyone wants to talk about that they find passion in. We are unscripted and we do not share notes or ideas before starting the episode in order to enhance the authenticity.
