1- I went back and listened to my first podcast / radio show ever otw to the station this morning and it got me to thinking about how far I've come and how the show has grown into what it is now. It reminded me that I needed to always look for ways to get the audience younger so we don't age out either. I tell a story about listening to a podcast over the weekend with Kelly Earnhardt (Dale Jr's sister and business partner) interviewing the guy who was in charge of sports marketing for Budweiser back in the late 90's / early 2000's when they signed Dale Jr. and he explains how the brand had to get younger to stay relevant, that really resonated with me this week as I look for ways to do that same thing. 2. I will have to go back and listen to the show and update the descriptions later because we hit a lot of flowing topics and I don't recall which order. I'll update as I'm clipping up the video for the shorter clips.
-JPD allegedly fires two cops for pursuing a woman that crashed at a high rate of speed Saturday morning in South Jackson that ended with her running off the road, hitting a tree, vehicle exploding and her dead on arrival without so much as stopping to render help or even calling in the wreck -Speaking of JPD, four white people were arrested for breaking in the metrocenter mall to steal copper, could these four saltines be the alleged "Ayran Brotherhood" members we were told were stealing copper for the Mexican cartels and transporting it to Houston to sell? We'll take a Clay Edwards Show deep dive investigation into it and see what we come up with. -Mississippi College announces that its changing its name to "Mississippi Christian University" in 2026 and dropping its football program effective immediately after there season ending loss to in state rival Delta State and finishing with a record of 2-8
BREAKING: Mississippi College has announced it is changing its name to Mississippi Christian University & that this football season will be its last. The NIL-era has fundamentally changed the landscape for smaller programs forcing schools to re-prioritize. MC will honor scholarships for current players. (Russ Latino, Magnolia Tribune)
Four white people have been arrested in Jackson, Mississippi while breaking into the Metrocenter mall in what looks to be an attempt to steal copper. We take a look back to a story from WLBT on Sept. 30th that claimed the current Metrocenter resident (a movie studio) claimed that Ayran Brotherhood gang members were stealing copper and transporting it to Houston for Mexican drug cartels. I initially called BS on this story, but now I'm questioning my original assumption. Below is the current story from WLBT JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Four people were arrested by the Jackson Police Department for Business Burglary among other crimes. Jackson Police Department Precinct Two Units responded to 3645 Metro Center Drive regarding a burglary in progress Thursday. Upon receiving a description of the suspects and the suspect’s vehicle, officers were able to apprehend them on the top-level loading dock. Suspects forced their way into the building on the lower level of Burlington Department Store. The vehicle used in the crime was a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado truck with a switch tag. Located inside the vehicle were guns, burglary tools, and copper wire. Four suspects were taken into custody and transported to police headquarters to be interviewed. According to JPD, after the interview, the four suspects were booked into the jail on the following charges:
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Two Jackson Police officers passed the scene of a deadly crash shortly after it occurred over the weekend and did not render aid, the police chief says. At 5 a.m. Saturday, Jackson Police Department Precinct 1 officers responded to the crash at Cooper Road and Suncrest Drive. A red Cadillac SUV was traveling south on Suncrest Drive when it left the road, crashed into a tree at the corner of Suncrest Drive and Cooper Road, and caught fire. According to JPD, the vehicle’s driver, Tina Carter Sawyer, 35, died during the accident. But, according to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, two Jackson Police Precinct 1 officers passed the scene of the accident “shortly” after it happened but did not stop or render aid. Wade says he questions the officers’ actions, “but, more importantly, their inactions during this situation.” Following a JPD Internal Affairs investigation, the officers were placed on administrative leave for questionable action and inaction. According to JPD, the case will be turned over to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations, and the findings will be handed over to the Mississippi Attorney Generals' Office.
Shaun and I spend the entire show breaking down the Jackson bribery scandal from an angle we haven't heard from any other shows.
Mississippi's liberal journalist fake quit Twitter / X as part of a national trend because of misinformation and disinformation on the platform, ironically most of that comes from them so it should fix the problem with them quitting the platform. I decided to check in on them to see if the anger addicts had actually followed through with their promise to quit the platform and of course they're full of sh!t and they're all still there!!
Matt Bishop (host of The Full Story on WYAB) sits in with me to discuss all of the current Trump appointments, Matt Gaetz, Tulsi Gabbard & much, much more.
WEDNESDAY W/ SHAUN YURTKURAN (Ep #871)
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - Two men were shot in the parking lot of Burlington Coat Factory during a Facebook Marketplace sell gone wrong, Jackson Police say. It happened Monday on East County Line Road. According to Jackson Police, a man met a couple, 24-year-old Chanceler Holmes and 33-year-old Shaneque McAbee, in the parking lot for a meeting arranged on Facebook Marketplace. During the sale, Holmes tried to rob the seller, which resulted in both men being shot.

We'll explore how this local scandal might ripple outwards, affecting the broader political landscape. Join us as we break down these events with our usual mix of humor, insight, and a dash of incredulity. Is this the wildest week in recent history? Join us on today's episode we delve into the murky waters of Jackson, Mississippi's political landscape, where the "Hinds County Goon Squad" - comprising Mayor Chokwe Lumumba, Hinds County D.A. Jody Owens, and City Council President Aaron Banks - find themselves embroiled in a scandal that reads like a plot from a political noir. Charged with a staggering 15 felonies related to the convention center hotel development project, this story has all the ingredients for a blockbuster political drama.   We're thrilled to have Angela Buckner, Senior Editor at the Mic Magazine, joining us. Angela, a black Democrat female journalist known for her incisive commentary, will share her insights on how this scandal reflects broader issues within local governance, the implications for Jackson's political future, and the community's response.   Hosting this potentially explosive conversation is none other than our very own loud-mouthed, white conservative, Trump-supporting radio host, [Your Name], who promises to bring his unfiltered opinions to the table. Together, they'll explore whether there's any common ground to be found amidst the political divide, or if the only thing they agree on is the need for some stronger coffee.   Expect a robust discussion on: The details of the bribery charges and the convention center project. The political fallout and what it means for Jackson's administration. The role of race, party politics, and ethics in local government. The impact of such scandals on community trust in public officials. And, just maybe, a moment where both sides might find themselves nodding in agreement. Tune in for a conversation that might not save democracy, but could at least shed some light on why these three officials now wish they had taken up knitting instead. Will they find common ground, or will this be another episode of political ping-pong? Grab your popcorn and join the discussion!
Chokwe Lumumba, Jody Owens & Aaron Banks have all been indicted, Shaun Yurtkuran joins me to break it down like only we can.

Matt Bishop with The Full Story" on WYAB joins me for the entire show to breakdown the 2024 presidential election unlike any other show in the market. Russ Latino with the Magnolia Tribune joins Shaun Yurtkuran and myself today to discuss the Mississippi today's hit piece on him in an attempt to get his show at Mississippi Public Broadcast canceled because they can't the fact that a conservative has been extended a platform on the tax payer funded radio and internet platform. We dive into the ridiculousness of it and why it's actually a good thing for Russ. Also, we spend the entire second hour of the show breaking down the election this Tuesday. Is there really a gender gap? Does anyone trust polls? Does low male turnout in early voting in PA. signal doom for Donald Trump? Who is worst VP candidate of our lifetimes? We debate all of those questions and more!!
1- Opened the show with a rant about how we've lived under Democrat control here in America the overwhelming majority of my life, especially if you go back and look at the George W. Bush terms through the lens of him being a uni-party RINO now. This is our last chance to save America from the Democrats and Deep State RINO Republicans. 2- We give out not one but two local FAFO championships in Rankin county yesterday 3- Donald Trump took advantage of Joe Biden calling all of his supporters "Garbage" and did a press conf. from inside a garbage truck yesterday, which is even funnier because CNN broke into with live BREAKING NEWS coverage while they were in the middle of a Wolf Blitzer round table discussing the election. 4. The Harris campaign is manipulating Trumps speeches and are getting busted by X in a move that could get them removed from the platform for violating the terms of service. We play the edited and original audio and let you decide what Trump actually said.
