We are back with another New Music Monday podcast on The Co-Write.  We have been remarkably consistent with this new concept.  This month we listen to and talk about Dalton Domino's new record, Arizona, which released on September 5th.  Dalton was our guest on Episode 155, and it was one of our favorite interviews over the couse of producing this podcast.  The record does not disappoint.  It's one of our favorites over the last 5 to 10 years.  We discuss why that is, as well as give a shoutout to Bobby's newest fan in Vancouver, on this episiode of The Co-Write.  Download, Subscribe & Enjoy!
Dalton Domino's new album, Arizona, is due out September 5th.  Dalton sits down this week with The Co-Write to discuss this new record, his years off the grid finding his new identity in sobriety, his writing style and process, as well as his relationship with his late tour manager Doug Oxenham.   We cover a lot of ground in this one, so buckle up.  Download, Subscribe, & Enjoy!   www.daltondomino.com

Hearts are heavy this week across Texas and the world as catastrophic flooding hit the Texas Hill Country claiming over 100 lives with even more still missing.  Galleywinter has been on top of the news sharing stories about how this tragedy has touched every corner of our state and Texas music community.   Relief efforts are underway, including an overwhelming response to a live-streamed fundraiser hosted by Josh Weathers that raised over $300,000 over a 4 hour show.   We do our best to discuss the heartbreaking stories cooming out of the Hill Country throughout the week before an attempt at a bit of levity in this moment of great sadness.  If you would like to be a part of the relief efforts, please visit the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund and keep a look out for the various benefit concerts our music community will announce in the near future.  Floods in Texas - (0:00)  Josh Weathers Amazing Benefit (13:35)  River Jam (21:35)  Donovan's First Trip to G-Town (30:28)  Verde Vacay Preview and Artist Stories - (40:48)  Fun With Old Audio featuring Erick Willis - (1:00:41)  Chat GPT Roasts (1:12:58)  Download, Subscribe & Enjoy!

Episode 150!  Who knew?  Not Donovan.   On this episode we take a look back at some recent adventures in our lives.  Bobby went to New York (again) and Donovan saw Wu Tang Clan and Run the Jewels twice in a weekend.  He even ran into an old friend of your favorite little podcast at the Fort Worth show.  (0:00) Jub Jam 14 was a few weeks back.  We talk about what that event still means to us, and what a success it has become for the Senior Source of Greater Dallas.  Randy Rogers and Brady Black headlined this year. Cheers to George Dunham on another great evening in Dallas.   (15:52)  A name we have been hearing a lot about recently is Cameron Allbright.  We were fortunate enought to meet him and his crew as they were also on the Jub Jam bill this year.  We talk a bit about Cameron and how this podcast always proves to be YOUR FAVORITE ARTIST'S FAVORITE PODCAST.  (20:57)  River Jam, Galleywinter's annual celebration of our scene, is coming up on July 11-13 at Cheatham St Warehouse in San Marcos Firday, Billy's Ice in New Braunfels on Saturday, and what is always one of the best full day songswapathons (you're welcome) each year at the Lone Star Float House and Grill on the river in New Braunfels Sunday. Host emeritus Brad Beheler has cultivated a very strong playlist highlighting the talent who will be featured at this years festival.  We take a look at it.  (29:44) Headlining River Jame Friday night is the great Bleu Edmonson.  Bleu has released a new EP which was produced by Wade Bowen. "To The End" is Bleu's first release in 10 years.   A long time favorite of the pod, Bleu's new EP gets a closer look.  (41:16)  We finish it off with some quick hits ...  Ryan Adams is a Charlie Shafter fan Springsteen Bio-pic trailer drops  Chris Watson can do it all  (57:00) Download, Subscribe & Enjoy!
Let's try something new!   On this episode of The Co-Write we are going to talk about some new music.  Moving forward we hope to bring you a New Music Monday pod the first Monday of the month, and guess what ... that's today!  (3:56) We handle a little bit of breaking news right off the top as it was announced that Taylor Swift finally purchased the master recordings of her first 6 albums.  A story we have covered in the past is finally settled.  What it means for any future Taylor's Version albums remains unclear.  (8:55) I mentioned in our previous episode notes that we recently lost an interview with Drew Kennedy discussing his new album, "Drew Kennedy".  Mother Nature remains undefeated.  We do our best to recap that lost interview as well as share our thoughts about this fabulous new release from the preeminent songwriter in our "scene".   (28:47) Later, we check out Kat Hasty's recent release, "The Time of Your Life".  We haven't discussed the ascendent Kat Hasty on the pod before, but it doesn't take much to see why she has made so many waves throughout the region.  (42:30) Finally, In a very controversial decision considering the vast majority of this podcasts listenership, Donovan shares his recent love of all things Morgan Wallen.  We talk about his latest 37 song epic, "I'm the Problem".   As always ...  Download, Subscribe & Enjoy!
On this episode of The Co-Write, we discuss the  Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's class of 2025.  Boy, did we ever get our predictions wrong.   Donovan also talks about his recent visit to the Rock Hall!  Download, Subscribe & Enoy!    *Note - This was originally supposed to be episode 149.  We recorded an interview with Drew Kennedy discussing his upcoming self titled release out this Friday.  During the recording of that interview a severe thunderstorm developed over us.  It actually hailed during the interview.  Long story short, I couldn't find to saved audio from the interview for about a week.  I found it, but the audio was corrupted.  It just sounded like white noise.  Weird.  We will work on getting Drew back on the pod as soon as we can.

This episode of The Co-Write is made that much better by the presence of Mike Graham!   Mike joins the boys in the "sports garage" to talk about his career, his hiatus, and his return with the release of the albume, "The Innocence We've Lost".     We also have an update on last episode's guest, Adam Hamptom, and the results of the contest where his screenplay, "The Waif", was a final three contestant.    Also, Bobby is now a cat guy.     All this and more on The Co-Write Podcast.   Download, Subscribe & Enjoy!
On this weeks episode of The Co-Write, Bobby and Donovan are joined by screenwriter, director, actor, producer, and all around good dude, Adam Hampton.  Adam has been a friend of the pod for many years, and his new script, "The Waif", has made the finals of the kinolime.com script writing contest.  If it wins, Adam gets his movie made.  Adam joins to talk about "The Waif" as well as how screenplay writing compares to other forms of creative writing.   If you find the discussion intersting, head over to https://www.kinolime.com and read "The Waif".  Give Adam a vote of confidence and help get his movie made.  Who knows?   He might even cast your friendly Co-Write hosts in the final product.  "People helping people, it's powerful stuff."   Download, Subscribe & Enjoy!
It's a brand new episode of The Co-Write this week!  We talk about Bobby's 5 week trip throughout the north east, as well as discuss 5 new records Bobby and Donovan listened to on their 24 hour road trip to Maryland.   Download, Subscribe & Enjoy!
Back in 2020, during the early days of the Covid 19 shut downs, and after 10 weeks of refuge in Texas, Bobby and Donovan moved Bobby's family back to New Jersey, where they were living at the time.   The wife and kids flew, but in the one day alone back on the shore, Bobby and Donovan recorded this podcast of their top 15 favorite songs.  It has been unavailable for quite a while, but we've decided to re-release this episode from a location somewhere between Memphis and Nashville on another cross country drive.  This time to Maryland.   Download, Subscribe & Enjoy!    Recorded 5/26/2020
