We all want more of the "right" people in our lives. We want good friends and co-workers who uplift rather than deplete and drain us. In this episode, I address the HOW of learning to attract emotionally healthy and available people in your life. We will explore why we may unintentionally attract emotionally unhealthy individuals and how to shift our focus to notice and gravitate towards those who align with our values. Join me, Hannah Coles, LDS Life Coach as I share the importance of self-awareness, compassion, and setting boundaries in fostering meaningful connections.

In this episode, I dive into the transformative practice of writing letters to yourself in the form of LEAP YEAR LETTERS. I discuss key elements to include in your letter, for your personal reflections on your current life to envisioning your hopes and dreams for the future. Join me and discover the power of self-compassion, gratitude, and resilience as you craft a roadmap for your future self. Create a new tradition for each leap year that has a set date to connect and reconnect with yourself every four years. This practice yields so many beautiful benefits that will help you live a confident life. When you're ready, dive in! But don't forget to grab a pen and some paper!
There's a difference betweeen our self-image, what we think of ourselves versus our public-image, what we think others think of us. Too often we are guided by others and the fear of what they might think of us instead of being intrinsically motivated. In this episode, we'll explore how our internal values shape our self-image and contrast it with the external pressures of public opinion. We'll talk about the various "roles" you carry as a part of your identity and question if these roles are productive for you or hinder your ability to feel confident.
Ever struggle with negative thinking? In this episode, I share how to approach your negative thoughts so that you can leave them behind and move onto more productive thinking patterns. I share why negative thinking puts unnecessary stress on your relationships and how to cultivate connection instead by sharing the four N's of Navigating Negative Thinking.
Just like our physical bodies need constant exercise,  our belief muscle needs to undergo some exercise to build a healthy and productive belief system. In today's episode, I share an important practice to start that will help your self-belief grow by leaps and bounds!
When was the last time you felt really proud of yourself? What were you doing? What did it feel like? What was it that you had to overcome to get to that place? Growing up there are ample opportunities to be proud; school plays, sports, music performances, talent shows, graduations (grade school, middle school, high school, college, etc) but now as adults...what now? feeling proud isn't just a "nice" feeling - it's a necessary NEED and one that will help you progress and connect in bold ways. Congratulations, You've leveled up! You're changing - you're becoming more aware, more confident, more authentically you. You've seen some amazing changes in yourself - this is what happens 100% of the time when you dive into coaching. But then there's something that also happens just about 100% of the time that we don't often talk about - when you change, you'll be met with some resistance. The moment you start to change in these really amazing ways there will be or are people in your life that won't like those changes. What do you do when you're growing and upleveling and others don't like the new you?
Confidence is synonymous with faith. It is faith that moves mountains. It is confidence that provides the peace, certainty, and trust to be able to move forward and try new things. I'm excited to share just the tiniest snippets from Dr. Givens and his book, The Doors of Faith and share ideas, concepts, and tools to help you live a life of quiet confidence. Tune in!
The starting point of all confidence is in radical truth-telling. Lies, half-truths, and dishonesty stem from insecurities and fears and you might be dabbling in this area more than you realize. But the good news is that you have options, you can learn how to be a radical truth-teller, and best of all you can create a life of security, certainty, and quiet confidence. There are dangers of pretending to be fine when we're not, pretending that things don't bother us when they really do, pretending to be happy instead of being human with a full range of emotions, pretending to enjoy things when we don't, pretending to agree with things when we really don't. This pretending is hurting you more than you realize and there is a way out. Come listen and learn how to stop pretending!
There are rules that are productive for you and there are "rules" that aren't. Some help us to create more confidence and security in ourselves and others that actually hinder your growth and self-image. But what if there are NO RULES?  What if you are following "rules" (aka expectations) from others that stifles your confidence not knowing there are other options? Tune in this week with LDS Life Coach Hannah Coles to learn more how to operate from what you VALUE instead of fear.
If you are not feeling as confident or secure as you'd like it's most likely because you are falling prey to these insecurity-inducing habits. In this episode, I shine a light on four subtle (yet striking) ways that MAKE you insecure. Tune in with LDS Life Coach Hannah Coles
We all experience ugly thoughts. You know the kind, it's when you're starting a new project and that inner dialogue chimes in to tell you all the reasons why it won't work for you or why you're not cut out for that. It happens when you look in the mirror or see a picture of you and whoa, lots of thoughts come out of the woodwork, thoughts that you'd never say to anyone else. It's the thoughts we worry others are thinking about us. They're just really ugly and for most of us, we're really bad at leaning into them instead of kicking them to the curb. In this podcast I teach you how to stop indulging in ugly thinking once and for all!
How do you know when to end a friendship? Why is it so hard to walk away or find closure in this area? This week I'm wrapping up the three-part series on friendships and teaching you how to know when to say goodbye to a friendship. Join Hannah Coles LDS Life Coach
This episode is all about MAINTENANCE. One of the hardest aspects of friendships is maintaining them. We start to see or notice things that we don't like, we hold them to these unspoken expectations, they might say things or show up in ways that are confusing and oftentimes that's when we start to distance ourselves until the firnedship just fizzles out and then we wonder, what happened? Join me today as I walk you through some tools to keep your friends and to make them even stronger!
It's no secret, friends can be amazing and those special connections can help us to experience rich, full, and joyful lives. But navigating the waters of friendship can be difficult and trigger a lot of insecurities, frustrations, and fear as well. I've created a 3 part series to help you feel confident in this world of friends! Tune in with LDS Life Coach Hannah Coles
Somewhere along the line we picked up the belief that some people are "better" than others, they're more likable, more valuable, more educated, more...And with this we have the tendency to elevate them and put them on a pedestal. But if they're up there, where are you? What does that say about you? And more importantly, what does that do to your confidence? Find out in this episode with LDS Life Coach Hannah Coles
We often blame others for how we feel. We think that others "made" us feel a certain way. They said words and now I'm hurt. But this thought track is disempowering and will keep you from being able to feel confident. Today, I share a small portion of the book, How Emotions are Made by Dr. Lisa Feldman Barrett where you learn that others don't "make" us feel anythign at all rather you are the creator and architect of your emotional world!
It's January and goals are the hot topic right now as well as excuses so I wanted to create a short podcast episode to help you clear out some thought drama and weed out some negative beliefs that are hindering more than helping. Tune in with LDS Life Coach Hannah Coles

Love it! Could you give the source for the long quote? The one about escalating or de-escalating a crisis?

Thank you for these words of wisdom! I was listening as I was rushing through a quilt I scheduled myself to finish today and after I frustratingly practiced my musical instruments to check them off my to do list. You totally changed my perspective. I forgot that I'm only doing these things because I enjoy them, so I need to just enjoy the process instead of focusing on checking them off the list or focusing on the mistakes along the way. My day just got immensely better! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
