On today’s episode, we dive into one of John Hughes’ more bizarre teen comedies. This movie is THE definition of an adolescent boy’s fantasy. We dive deep scene by scene and ask the important questions like, what the fuck were they thinking? Is Bill Paxton the best part of the movie? Did you spit in this? And can you believe what they thought the internet was back in the 80s? Join us as we chat 1985’s Weird Science.

Every once in awhile, you watch a movie and think, "huh... that was terrible" and you agree to never watch it again. You might even wish you had never seen it in the first place it was THAT bad. Well, join us on today's brunch for our personal worst movie ever seen that we do NOT recommend.

Its time to grab your rollerblades and slap on some neon windbreakers, so we can talk about a movie that basically brainwashed an entire generation of kids into thinking they could go from the worst Pee Wee Hockey team ever to world champions. This movie gave us the Bash Brothers, the Knucklepuck and tried to sell us on the fact that Iceland was not only good at hockey but was a major villain. And of course, it gave us Gordon Bombay at his most unhinged — ditching practices for photo shoots, forgetting his players exist, and then swooping in with a last-minute inspirational speech like an alcoholic stepdad who suddenly remembers it’s Christmas morning. But hey, anything is possible because we are Team USA baby.

On today’s episode, we review one of the most overlooked and underrated movies of the 90s. One of two 90s films about African lions, this movie was pitched as a cross between Lawrence of Arabia and Jaws and it certainly delivers. We have questions though. Is Val Kilmer sub-par in this film? Why is Michael Douglas so cool? Did these people deserve their fate? We are of course talking about 1996’s The Ghost and the Darkness

There are certain movies that are perfect to watch in a hotel room. Maybe it's the lack of options? Maybe it's how tired you are from traveling? Maybe it's the booze you had before you lied down? Regardless, there movies that just make sense to watch from the comfort on a hotel bed with no likelihood of finishing. Here are our Top 5!

On today’s episode, Summer of 70s comes to a close with one of the most-classic comedies of all-time. The Jerk was the ninth-highest grossing movie in the US in 1979. It was also the first starring role and producing debut of Steve Martin. Per the Gerret Layoff Confused Breakfast actor database, it is the fifth Steve Martin appearance on this podcast. Apparently it was Stanley Kubrick’s favorite comedy. Join us as we break it down- scene by scene!

Make You Cry July comes to an end with a surprisingly fun treat of a movie. So bad it’s good, perhaps?! On today’s episode, we are going to breakdown the 2nd lowest critically rate movie in the franchise and the last of the franchise to be released on VHS. This was the only movie in the Fast and Furious word that doesn’t feature at least a cameo by Vin Diesel. This movie taught us that talking to yourself while street racing is the secret to going faster and that racing for pink slips is a totally normal occurrence. Our pockets aren’t empty cuz. We are of course talking about 2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious.

Despite all of this it was nominated for 6 Razzie awards, including worst picture, worst director, worst screenplay and worst couple— Jon Voight and the animatronic snake. The guy who gets his leg broken in bloodsport is Tong Po in Kickboxer and also is one of Military police in lionheart who is after Van Damme. I recently saw you guys on Bert's Kreisher's podcast and have been binging the eps at work. Im already a big fan

love this review guys! I'd like to hear you guys talk about Water world!
Discovered this podcast a couple of days ago, and I've been binge listening through the episodes. I love that they discuss movies I watched growing up. It's like talking about movies with buddies. I recommend it.
REVIEW TIME!!!!! After seeing one clip on Tik Tok I immediately tracked down the podcast and have listened to everyone episode sometimes more than once. I LOVE this podcast!!! The dinamic the 3 of you have, welcomes us in, as if we are part of an all night movie, snack, gaming session. I'm proud to be a member of "The Dazed Club" keep up the great work!
super entertaining and easy listening. love going down memory lane with all the movies. got me re watching all of them now as well.
Love this podcast! I first discovered it off of TikTok of all places. Decided to give it a listen and ended up listening to every single one in just 3 days. I was delighted to hear what others guys around my age think about the movies and shows I grew up on. The added bonus was finding out that they are Iowa boys just like me. I can’t wait to hear what they will cover in the future!
Easy listening, great laughs. This is my go to podcast when I want to break up the monotony and travel down memory lane. The cast has great chemistry and you can tell they put in the work. Again, very funny and deserves the love. Happy listening!
