Description

Welcome Connected Collective! That's You! This podcast is an experiment exploring the field of resonant connectivity. What are the ideas that ground us - allowing us to be deeply present in our lives. What are the practices that inspire us to pursue the personal vision(s) we have for our lives? And what recalibrates the sensual human in an increasingly virtual world?

I'm curious to know so we'll play with topics and see who arrives...

A recent conversation with a 14 year old got me real clear on the value of being older and the importance of following our inspiration.
Join me in a conversation about how to develop personal resilience in this time of chaos. Here are some of the resources I mentioned in the episode: Hakomi Institute -- Michael Meade and www.mosaicvoices.org -- Bayou Akomalafe -- Caroline Casey -- Thank you so much for joining me! Please follow the show at one of these podcast homes: Breaker -- Radio Public -- Google Podcasts -- Apple or Spotify.
Hi Pod Family! There's a name change coming to the podcast. It's a more specific fit with my current interests and work in the world. I hope to keep the sense of sanctuary while I learn to build a connected collective with you. Thanks for listening.
An episode inspired by a recent reminder of the ages old argument about the validity of Astrology and all things "unprovable."   There's a reason why pop culture astrology reads like it could apply to anyone. It's written with a broad audience in mind.  I'd like to thank Marc at Just Another Cancer Podcast for the title. Please check him out!  Resources for further study: Bonatti on Basic Astrology: Treatises 1-3 of the Book of Astronomy. Translated by Benjamin N. I'm back after a hefty pep talk from a close friend on giving people what I want instead of worrying about what you need. Once again, we're going against the grain! This episode gives a very specific tip for coming out the other side of tough conversations stronger than you were when you went in. It's a skill that takes time and effort to develop but the more of us out here building this hard talk muscle the better off we'll all be. If you practice this starter tip, consistently, you will begin to experience the world around you differently. Take a listen and then give it a try.  *While I would not label this show explicit - there are a couple of cuss worthy moments recorded.
The Radiance Sutras are one of my favorite collections period - and one of my preferred ways to drop into meditation. I read from Lorin Roche's translation of the texts. This approach to meditation is active and sensually informed. This will be an enjoyable experience for the listener. You are welcome to join in.
In this episode we talk about recording your dreams, mythic mind, and beautiful words that feel like warm fur.
A reading of John O'Donahue's - A Friendship Blessing
The conversation begins with an invitation to be willing to talk about death and meanders into the Anam Cara and developing presence. I'll record an addition to this because the John O'Donahue poem didn't make it into the recording. Enjoy!
Learn how to relax the body and mind with a step by step process of relaxation.
Welcome to Episode 1 of the Sanctuary podcast. Your guide in the Sanctuary remains unnamed but join us in an introduction to relaxation and classical tantric poetry.
In this episode I share some thoughts on our current experience of loneliness. I share some conversations I've had recently and suggestions for handling ourselves in this difficult space.
3am wake up call

3am wake up call

You or someone you know has, or is currently, struggling with the 3am wake up call. That annoying or frustrating experience of being awake when we feel we shouldn't be awake. In the episode I share a couple of tips that may help you shift your perspective on this particular form of sleeplessness. The book I mention is Marma Points of Ayurveda by Anisha Survey and Vasant Lad. Thank you for listening.
Today I learned that Jordan Peterson causes deep consternation in part of the American Public. I however, deeply appreciated the lectures and interviews I landed on in my first experience with him. I'm revisiting the habit some of us have of avoiding being ugly as we learn new things and create from our inspirations.
Still searching for the 'perfect' intro greeting and I realized today that my experience growing up didn't include a focus on morning greetings. A light hearted conversation about recognizing this detail and encouragement to you, the listener, to find your own right language when engaging other hoomans.

Recent conversations with people about the overwhelming sense of loneliness in the world at this time inspired this episode. I talk about some ways to develop connection. I took action on this topic in response to information about suicide rates so be aware that I do mention this in the episode. It ends on a high note. My intention is to inspire you to take action where you can. To add your thread of connection where you can.

I share a quick story about a fear that many of us face - making mistakes other people can witness. I hope it helps you move past a fear currently holding your shine from shining. Please share the pod and follow if you are finding value. Thank you and enjoy!
For years I was too full of myself to take affirmations seriously - to practice them consistently. I knew I needed what people said they could help with but I felt too goofy and proud to do them. Fast forward through years of quieting practices and I have a new view on the power and meaningfulness of affirmations.

Spirit likes to play games! When I'm talking about noise in our lives - it gets noisy in the pod. Enjoy it! I'm this episode I take a few moments to walk you through basic skills for learning your own intuitive messaging system. In 2020 a lot of us woke up to other layers of reality and people want to know how to work with the subtle and unseen. Here's one too for doing that. Enjoy!
