This was very well done while depicting a tale that chills to the bone. Hard to imagine that acts such as this were actually explored and supported during the time the story took place. I enjoyed the listen.

One can hear the gradual descent to madness of Dr. Hayes as he tries to shape and control his patients instead of seeking to make them whole. Therapy should be about discovering why people are stunted in their lives and giving them the tools to move forward better able to cope with conflict.
