Meet Dana!! Dana is a Storyteller, Senior Journalist and Presenter at MBC 1. In this episode, Dana shares more about her journey into the world of media. She talks about her transition from being this shy girl to presenting on MBC 1 (the first independent Arabic satellite TV station with an estimated audience of more than 130 million Arab people around the world). That is only a small part of the episode. We talk about  passion, brainstorming, the importance of how one speaks to oneself, overcoming fear, how to enhance creativity and find inspiration in everything. I also asked her about her definition of success. Whatever I am going to write here will not be enough. Trust me when I say this, you MUST listen to the full episode. Meet Farah, Farah is founder of the Farah foundation. She is a writer, creator, and positivity champ to inspire life. (Note: Be prepared for this episode it is one of the most emotional ones yet) Farah first learnt about her autoimmune disease around 17 years ago, where she was told that there was no cure for her illness. That meant that her body will constantly be changing physically, from her skin to her muscles and bones. She shares about how confused, angry, and bitter at everyone and everything she was the first few years, but most importantly, she talks about her transformational journey, a journey inward that took her from the feeling of hopelessness, fear, confusion, bitterness, to being a source of inspiration, motivation, and power for others.
This episode is all for you. Thank you for being part of the journey and making this such a wonderful experience and building such an empowering supportive community. Decided to do something special to connect with you all!! Check out the full episode and make sure you DM me if you would like to be part of that.

He talks about the importance of having the right mindset every single day to keep him going, he also talks about how having a daily routine helps keeps him on track. You can truly see how much he cares for his clients and how much time and energy he spends tailoring a unique fitness/ nutritional plan for each one of them. I also asked him about his thoughts on veganism, cheat meals and supplements.
What is the difference between Shame and Guilt? According to @brenebrown, a research professor who has spent the past two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, Shame = "I am bad" and Guilt =" I did something bad". Shame attacks you as an Individual, meanwhile guilt focuses on your behaviour. When you feel attacked that way, you feel that you are not worthy of love and belonging. So, when children are parented by shame, they tend to grow up struggling with self-worth and self-loathing issues. It teaches them that they are inherently not worthy of love and that stays on with that individual as they grow older causing them to behave in self-destructive manners such as violence, aggression, depression, addiction, eating disorders and bullying. Check out the full episode to learn more about the difference between shame and guilt? What does shame really look like? and how to become more shame resilient. If you are looking to build relationships based on Love, Belonging and Story you are going to love this brief solo episode.
Meet Kristine Faza.  Kristine is a Certified Health Coach & Yoga Instructor. She also happens to be a friend of mine, p.s we used to go to the same school as kids. In this episode you will learn more about her story, and what it means to be a Health Coach and why did she choose to follow this path? We talk about meditation, prayer, being present, relationship with food and the anxiety that comes around it. We also address the subconscious mind, gratitude, gut health and the holistic approach to life and even question if the words of affirmations (that everyone talks about) really works?
Meet Alice Law, I got the chance to meet Alice and briefly learn about what she does and found her work inspiring. In this episode she will share more about her story and what drove her into diving in within and work now on helping other people calm down and deal with stress. Her story surprised me (Seriously, never judge anyone, you have no idea what their story is). After going through the challenges that she talks about and finding a way through the chaos to keep herself grounded, she has decided to support others in living the calmest version of themselves. She had no expectations of ever doing what she was doing as she wanted to pursue her interest in fashion but things changed around leading her in this path. Check out the full episode.
Meet Hugh MacLeod,  This episode was long delayed, and I am so excited for all of you to check it out.  In this conversation, Hugh shares more about his story and the lessons he learnt along the way and that is when his book “Humanizing Leadership” came to existence. He talks about importance of leading by example, giving back, finding time to oneself, the power of being present and honest with oneself, and the importance of  having the right leadership in an organization. I appreciated what he shared about how blessed he was having people along the way who believed in him before he was able to see the potential in himself and now he wants to give back. Why do we have some problems in communication? It is like you are saying something and you are trying your best to explain it but the person on the receiving end does not quite get it. It gets frustrating but it is not their fault. There are may factors that take place and create a lack of understanding in a communication. Check out the brief episode to understand how the communication process works and what are some issues that we face there.
What is your Love Language? What does that mean? What is the benefit of knowing it? Why does it matter?
“In the beginning I was one person, knowing nothing but my own experience, then I was told things and I became two people. There were two of I. One I always doing something that the other disapproved of. Or the other I said what I disapproved of. All this argument in me so much.In the beginning was I and I was good. Then came in another I. Outside authority. This was confusing. And then other I became very confused because there were many different outside authorities. I comes through, a little. In moments. And gets pushed back by other I” - Barry Stevens
Meet Adam,  I have met Adam a while ago and I have observed him grow so much in the past year  and wanted to have him join me on a podcast episode.  He shares more about what he does, how he has grown spiritually, mentally and physically. We also address topics like stillness, observing one's thoughts, meditation, power of pain. I also asked him about his thought on how someone should quit a negative routine/ habit and REPLACE it with a more positive and empowering one. (notice the word that I used (REPLACE) is key). In part 1, Jacquelyn shared more about her story. The second part (this episode) we touch base on HSP.  Are you a Highly Sensitive Person? What does that mean? Do you feel that people around you do not quite understand you, or even understand how deeply you feel about things? Do you feel that you need more time to process the events of your day, especially if stressed? Do you feel you have a rich, complex inner life? Easily get overstimulated by your environment? Emotionally responsive or reactive with a high degree of empathy? Being greatly soothed when in nature or near water? Tending toward altruism or uniquely spiritual? Being deeply moved by arts and music? Having a rich, complex inner life? If you resonate with all of them, you are going to LOVE LOVE this episode.  Connect with her at: jacquelyn@hspgatheringretreats.com Website: www.jacquelynstrickland.com
Meet Jacquelyn Strickland,  In this episode Jacquelyn talks about her story being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) and how she is empowering other HSP in her own journey. I have decided to split the episode into 2 parts. Part 1( this episode) is Jacquelyn's story and part 2 where she shares more about HSP.  In this episode she talks about how she has always been a spiritual seeker constantly searching for answers and asking the question why? She talked about her deep care for animals, and she was always praised for her sensitivity until she was put out there into the external world, which made her feel like an outsider and she had to adapt to society's expectations to fit in. What does HSP stand for?  Has anyone told you that you are “too sensitive”, or told you to “stop thinking too much",  or even "stop being too dramatic and overreacting". If those few words resonate with you you might want to listen to this brief episode that is going to prepare you to the following episode with an amazing women who dives deeper into what HSP is.
Mano is the host of “The Perspective Podcast” and he creates Arabic content for @garyvee @garyveearabic making sure it is relevant to the Arab culture. But before he started working there, he had volunteered there for 1 year before he got the full-time position. I mean that is commitment. In this episode he re-emphasized the importance of being happy in the process by doing the things you enjoy/excite you. He addressed something that was interesting and different than what everyone suggests. He said that he enjoys what he is doing a lot that not working, for him, is more exhausting than doing the work. In a sense, when you are not doing what you love, you are depriving yourself of that joy. He talks about adding value before you even ask anyone to buy anything from you and not to take it personally if they choose not to, because you have no idea what is on people’s plates. I mean those are some of the few points we addressed. Honestly, you are going to enjoy this deeply. Even though I was the one who recorded this episode and knew what was there, hearing it again added so much value to me.
Whether you like it or not, people are going to judge you, at the end of the day, this says nothing about you, but says so much about them and what they believe about themselves. They are going to try to make you feel bad about yourself because they believe that if they bring you down with them then they are superior. Check out the full episode to understand how to navigate such a situation.
A study was done and showed that people love learning but the way we are being educated nowadays. Getting good grades does not mean you are intelligent, but shows that you are able to understand how to navigate through the system and do well and pass, it says nothing about how much information that you have really retained form what you have learnt. What is the use of only studying for an exam then forgetting everything afterwards?
The messages that we receive at an early childhood have a huge effect on oneself growing up. So who are you really if not what other people said you are? Check out this short solo episode. You are going to love it.
