We celebrate what God is doing through The Big Picture as one church in one location. We gathered at Chaifetz Arena for one holy, worship-packed service.
When God moves in a story, big things happen. We have to remember what God has already done for us to have hope for where He is leading our future.
When you follow Jesus, you begin to understand that all you are given is not yours. Everything you have is God's. When we consider offerings and gifts to the church, He wants us to give from a grateful heart. Nothing more or less.
Each person matters to God. That means each person should matter to our church. We must celebrate each one that God brings home.
We are not good at sharing what we believe is ours. But what if your stuff was never yours in the first place? What if God wants you to give generously with what He has given you? Your time, your money, your talent. All of it is His anyway.
God is calling us, The Crossing church, deeper than ever into His story. Over the five weeks of this series, we'll look at the direction He's leading us together. Also, consider how you're being lead to be part of the big picture.
What does it mean to step into the waters of baptism? It is an outward expression of an inward decision to follow Jesus. We'll look at scripture and talk through church traditions to figure out what baptism looks like for us at The Crossing.
On Easter we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus. The end of a week that changed the world forever. But that's not the end of the story. Following Jesus means the story continues through you today.
The Palm Sunday story may seem familiar with crowds cheering Hosanna while waving palm branches. But there was much more happening that day than a feel-good story for the ages. Holy Week ends with the cross then Easter, but begins with Jesus on a donkey.
What is gnawing at you? Do you believe God is big enough to handle your stuff? Jesus proved that He is willing to hear our prayers and take action.
A faith rooted in truth and drenched in grace is lived out through extravagant expressions of love for others. A desire to serve pours out of a transformed heart. Jesus himself was a servant and we are called to do no less.
This is where the head stuff meets the heart stuff. Where the truth of scripture becomes personal. Because for us, it all boils down to grace. And when each of us get to the point where we realize God has called us by name into His story through Jesus, by grace, we're changed.
No matter where you fall on the spiritual map or how long you've been on your journey, God wants you to keep digging, questioning and investigating truth because He knows it ultimately gives your faith a solid foundation.
In this broken world, we have to live among suffering and sin. Fortunately for believers, God wants to carry the load with us and help us persevere. Never settle for less than a life full of God's hope and grace.
Do you follow Jesus? Then you have a calling. Being called doesn't mean you have to work in a church or in ministry. Our ultimate calling is living this life with God.
We should trust God in every decision. Obedience is the key to living a full, God-honoring life. So how do we do that? We'll get practical with what it looks like to trust and obey.
Are you posing? Pretending that everything is fine on social media, around co-workers or with your closest friends and family? Drop the mask. God sees through it and wants to lead you in an authentic life.
Living a life with grace means we have work to do. Not the kind of work some believe it takes to receive grace, but the work that comes with living uncomfortably in the present and living for a future with Jesus.
When was the last time you shared Jesus with a friend, family member or neighbor? We must do whatever it takes to remove the distractions for others to find him and learn about grace.
Are you living a life focused on your will or God's? If we're honest, we all try to do things our way more than we should. So let's find practical ways to raise self-awareness and never settle for a life less than God has planned for us.
