Saturday is review day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives. Here are the promises we covered this week. 1 John 5:4 – You are an Overcomer. Psalm 118:29 - You Can be Thankful Because God is Good. Psalm 37:23-24 - God Will Pick You Up When You Fall. Today's Promise: Romans 4:20-22 Faith believes that what God has said, He will do. When God makes a promise, He is faithful to fulfill that promise. God's word and His character are connected. He must keep His word. Faith holds onto that promise until it is made evident. How long are you willing to hold onto a promise? Do you give up too soon? Does your faith waver after a few weeks? Don't give up. God will fulfill every promise He has made to you. Stand in faith and don't waver.
Today’s Promise: 1 Corinthians 10:13 When it comes to temptation, you are not out on your own. God promises victory over every temptation that comes your way. Here are three things to remember about temptation: First, everyone experiences temptation. Second, God limits the temptations that come into your life. And third, God provides a way of escape from every temptation you face.
Today’s Promise: Psalm 1:3 Psalm 1 is about the persons who “delights in” or makes the Word of God their priority. When you build your life on the word of God, you will be like a tree that produces good fruit. A healthy tree will not only produce quality fruit but will also produce large quantities of fruit. When you have an active walk with God, spiritual fruit naturally grows in your life. There are two types of spiritual fruit God is growing in your life. 1. The Fruit of the Spirit. 2. The fruit of changed lives. God promises that as you delight in His word, you will be fruitful.
Now more than ever it’s important to control your thinking. It is so easily to fall into fear and worry. God has given you the promise to take every thought captive. One of the most frequent battlegrounds for spiritual warfare is your mind. Just as Satan deceived Eve through his words, Satan is always whispering deception and lies into you ears. Your thoughts are the beginnings of actions. Every sin begins with a thought. Every temptation begins in the mind. Because you have the mind of Christ, you have power over your thoughts. God commands you to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.

Here’s today’s promise. Once you were alienated and hostile in your minds because of your evil actions. But now He has reconciled you by His physical body through His death, to present you holy, faultless, and blameless before Him. - Colossians 1:21-22 God didn’t wait for you to clean up your act before He began His work of salvation. While you were still in rebellion and hostile toward Him, He began working in your life to draw you to Himself. As a follower of Christ, Jesus presents you to God without sin or accusation. This promise describes three ways Christ will present you to God.
Here’s today’s promise After you have suffered for a little while, the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself perfect, confirm, strengthen and establish you. - 1 Peter 5:10 No one wants to suffer, but suffering is often part of life. We live in a fallen world, and sometimes pain comes along. God never promised we would never suffer, but He does promise that He will use our suffering for a purpose. Chuck Swindoll said; “The path of obedience is often marked by times of suffering and loss." When an unbeliever goes through suffering, it is without hope. For the Christian, we know our suffering is perfecting us. We can rejoice in our suffering because we know God is using it for good in our life. God doesn’t bring you suffering, but He does allow suffering. He uses suffering to do four things in your life.
Let me remind you today that God knows you. He knows all about you, in fact, nothing is hidden from Him. He knows the good, the bad, and everything in between. Jesus said that God knows you so well He knows how many hairs you have on your head. For you older folks, He even know how many hairs you used to have on your head. Before you ever took your first breath God knew you. He knew how tall or short you would be, the color of your eyes, the color of your hair, and a thousand other details. You are not a genetic accident, you are created by God. It was God who formed you in your mother’s womb. Even before you were born, He knew you and was working in your life.

Saturday is Review Day on The Daily Promise. Every Saturday, we review the promises of the week so we can allow them to go deep into our hearts and lives. Here are the promises we covered this week. Isaiah 30:21 - God Directs Your Steps. Exodus 23:29-30 – God Brings Victory Little by Little. Psalm 34:18 – The Lord is Close to the Brokenhearted. James 1:2-3 Rejoice in Your Trials. Proverbs 1:23 – God Pours Out His Spirit on ME.
Today's Promise: Proverbs 1:23 There are two powerful promises packed into this one verse. Both promises are related because God's Spirit and His Word always go together. Pentecost fulfilled this Old Testament promise. The Holy Spirit would no longer rest on a person for a while. Now the Spirit would indwell those who put their faith in Christ. The second part of this promise focuses on God's Word. God will make His words known to you. When the Holy Spirit reveals and empowers the Word of God, it becomes a powerful force working in your life.
Today's Promise: James 1:2-3 The book of James tells us to Rejoice! For most of us, that makes very little sense. How in the world can you rejoice when you face trials and difficulties? No one looks down at a flat tire and says, "Praise God, I have a flat tire!" Instead of looking at your difficulties as a punishment or a curse, James invites you to see them as opportunities for God to work. In every trial, you can rejoice because God uses every difficulty to strengthen your faith and make you like Jesus.
Today’s Promise: Psalm 34:18 When life throws you a knockout punch, God is there to draw you near. When you feel crushed by the things you have experienced, God will save you from hopelessness. Being brokenhearted is more than having your high school boyfriend break up with you. The brokenhearted are those who have suffered a hurt of such magnitude that it has left them debilitated. If you are brokenhearted today, Jesus will minister peace and healing to your soul.
Today's Promise: Exodus 23:29-30 Right now, God is working in your life to give you victory. He doesn't give it to you all at once. He works little by little to transform you into the likeness of Jesus. When God told the Children of Israel about the promised land, He promised to drive out their enemies. God would go before them, and He would fight their battles. However, He would do so little by little. God works little by little in your life. He leads you one step at a time.
Today’s Promise: Isaiah 30:21 God wants to lead you. Throughout the Bible, God promises to lead, direct, and guide those who put their faith and trust in Him. The problem we face is that God rarely shows us the destination. Like our GSP, God usually gives just the next step. To hear God’s instruction, you have to listen for His voice. By walking in fellowship with the Lord and listening to His voice, you can be confident that He will lead and direct your path.
