as much as this is a compelling story, i wish we gave more ink or airtime to the stories of the victims, who probably have equally compelling stories. Like Robin Samsoe who was willing to work for her ballet lessons. aren't we playing into these killers' narcissism? i appreciate how some journalists are naming mass shooters less. let's talk about true crime, sure, but let's tell the stories of the victims who were taken too soon.

why do they keep talking about whether she was forced into the car? does coercing a CHILD into your car under false pretenses make it not kidnapping? she clearly was not able to leave because he MURDERED HER so that's definitely kidnapping in my book, regardless of if he used his words or hands to get her to go with him.

in not even halfway through this episode but honestly this also applies to everything else ive heard so far: please for the love of brevity stop circling back to the same moment and facts after explaining it completely competently once or twice, it's pretty disorienting on top of the case already being complicated.

An episode based on what someone might have been thinking at the time. Complete waste of an episode.

Hope that prison psychiatrist was fired after the guy immediately violated parole. Show how much they knew... Or didn't.

Anyone else bothered about the collection of "DNA"? This is the 70's, they didn't even know about DNA at that time!

Interesting topic. Would have enjoyed more if the podcast wasn’t reading, but a discussion. Kill the background music.

The story or Rodney Alcala has always disturbed me more than some others. The way if the cops would have just been there 5 min earlier less damage would have occured.
