I love the format! It is layed out like a well written book. I was sorry to read some listeners didn't like the format. I suspect it's a right brain/left brain "thing". Some find they can follow a story when writers unfold it chronologically chapter by chapter; other brains are stimulated by less order. Kind of like a 3 steps forward, 1 step back.

I really tried, but I really don’t like how much they jump around. Why not tell it in chronological order? I feel like I’m listening to Pulp Fiction.

This podcast takes a great story and shreds it with their storytelling. Pretty disappointing, but I suppose the vision they had for it just isn't a fit for me.

I am only just starting but was disappointed to hear the description of Cheryl Bradshaw on "The Dating Game" salaciously described as wearing a sparkly "mini dress..." It was in fact six inches from the ground, so just a "slight" exaggeration...

couldn't understand all the mixed reviews on how the story is done but 15 mins in I get it.... and it doesn't bother me. the hosts present the facts and events but they do it in a dramatized way. as the hosts swap, so does the POV and you get the story from the point of view of different people involved, including police and Alcala himself. basically think of this as a made for tv movie when you go into it and you might enjoy it more

I may be the only one that appreciates the way they tell the story... sure you have to pay attention, but it's unique and I think it's been easy to follow

I understood Alcala was born in August but this podcast says March. I'm curious which one is correct.
