Rwandan Genocide pt 4: Israel, Britain and France in the Rwandan Genocide"

On a May morning in 1994, a cargo plane touched down in Goma, Zaire—its cargo not food or medicine for a starving region, but mortar shells, ammunition, and one of the masterminds of genocide. This was no accident. Behind Rwanda’s killing fields lay an international supply chain of weapons, money, and political cover—stretching from Paris to London to Tel Aviv.In this final episode of our series on the Rwandan genocide, The Dead Icons Podcast uncovers how foreign powers became entangled in mass murder. From France’s secret networks of Françafrique, to British arms dealers laundering shipments through shell companies, to Israeli and Albanian suppliers feeding the militias—this is the hidden story of how the genocide was fueled far beyond Rwanda’s borders.Support the show on Patreon via the link below For enquiries please email thedeadiconsp@gmail.comhttps://linktr.ee/thedeadiconsp

Rwanda Genocide Pt2: Before the Sky Fell

Imagine growing up in a country that is designed to keep you down. Not just segregated but where the entire apparatus of the government is engineered with revenge in mind. Revenge for crimes you didn't even commit. From a time where you weren't even born. This was life for the Tutsi people in Rwanda through the 70s and 80s. But for those who had escaped, things weren't much better. In the dusty refugee camps of neighbouring Uganda, a generation was coming of age bitter and resentful of what had been taken from them. They plotted and planned for a day when they could take back what was rightfully theirs. When they finally decided to take action, it would spark a brutal civil war within Rwanda and would set the scene for one of the greatest tragedies of all time.
