Description

The Debaters is the hit show where comedians go toe-to-toe in a battle of laughs and logic. Hosted by award-winning funnyman Steve Patterson, the program is a combustible combination of sharply crafted comedic rants and hilarious ad libs. The engaging format is part stand-up, part quiz show and part comedy competition, with the live audience picking the winners.

I find Aisha Brown irritating. Her ultra liberal "comedy" is just fully cringey.

Humorous? Is the joke supposed to be that no normal adult could possibly be so unable to get their s**t together that they can't do something so simple as get a credit card? Is it absurdist? If not, then I don't see the humour at all.

Were I to meet Steve Patterson, I would how at his feet. The English language is my plaything and it is a fun toy but the puns this man comes up with and the pleasure he takes in their delivery warrant, in my opinion, sincere, and very deep and long-felt admiration for the man. Puns are way too underappreciated as a form of comedy but he keeps the artform alive with a vigor that so few people have these days as far as puns and general wordplay are concerned. This man is my idol and of anyone alive today, he is the person whom I would most like to meet if given the chance.
