Description

Hey there. I'm Darlene Michele. Tired of playing small in your life? Me, too. Wanting to live that large, expansive, juicy life you know is waiting for you to step into? Me, too. This podcast is about making that large, juicy life a reality. Know what? We don't have to wait for permission to do that "thing" we've been wanting to do. We ARE enough to do the work we've been uniquely gifted to do. Time to bust through the noise, those disempowering stories that keep us trapped in that teeny weeny life. The choice is ours. Teeny weeny, boring, painful, ineffective life. Or. Big, expansive, exciting, fulfilling life, where we get to share our unique magic with others and make a real difference in real lives. For me, I choose the juicy, mind-blowing life. Come with me. Let's do this together. One courageous step at a time. We got this! Let's go!

In this week's Minisode, I share the wonderful poem, "She Let Go", by Ernest Holmes.  This poem is speaking to me right now with where I am currently in my life.  Perhaps, it will also speak to you.  ❤️ Much Love, Darlene Michele 🦋
In this episode I share the direction I'm taking for the rest of my life.    Much Love, Darlene Michele 🦋 Mentioned in the episode: Elizabeth Gilbert: The Curiosity-Driven Life
In today's Minisode, I discuss this quote by Rainer Maria Rilke: “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” This quote is exactly where I am currently in my life.  Maybe, you are also there in your own life.  My hope is that today's episode will bring some comfort and support to you.  ❤️ Much Love, Darlene Michele 🦋
In today's episode I share how my current struggle is another lesson about how to persevere.  Nothing worth having comes easily.  ❤️ Much Love, Darlene Michele  🦋
In this weeks's Minisode I discuss this quote by Thich Nhat Hanh: "The meditator breathes in and says, "Hello my fear, my anger, my despair.  I will take good care of you."   This quote gives a lovely picture of how we heal our relationship with ourself.  This is what I learned to do with myself.  Love and accept every part of me.   ❤️ Much Love, Darlene Michele  🦋
Today I'm sharing my own experience with grief and how I'm moving through it.  I also share two pieces of comfort and encouragement I found to help me stay focused on what truly  matters.   ❤️ Much Love, Darlene Michele  🦋
Today I discuss this quote from Fred Rogers: "When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, "Look for the helpers.  You will always find people who are helping."  To this day, especially in times of "disaster", I remember my mother's words and I am always comforted by realizing that there are still so many helpers - so many caring people in this world."   There's a reason the words of Mr. Rogers make an appearance during times of challenge and tragedy.  I discuss this quote in the context of the current global events, and also in our personal lives.
In today's episode I share more of my experience as I sit in the midst of many questions for myself and my future direction in life.   If you are in such a place, too, my hope is that this episode will help you feel that you are not alone.   ❤️ Much Love, Darlene Michele 🦋
In today's Minisode, I share an incredible poem by John Pavlovitz. "On the day I die, a lot will happen...."
Sharing from my heart today.  ❤️
In today's Minisode, I discuss this quote by Martin Luther King Jr.: "Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness implies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction.” In light of the recent invasion of Ukraine by Russia, this quote is running through my mind.  My heart and prayers are with the Ukrainian people.   🇺🇦 Come say "hi" on Instagram @iamdarlenemichele  🦋 If you found value in this episode, please leave a review.  I'd be most grateful!  ❤️
I've been struggling with sadness lately.  The loss of my mom, only two months ago, being sick for two months, the current hostile divide I see in my own family, in my country, and the world.  The invasion of Ukraine by Russia is just another heartbreaking event.   Today, I share my heart, my struggle, and how we can send more love into all the hurting places.  In ourselves and in the world. In todays' Minisode, I discuss this last stanza from the beautiful blessing, called A Morning Offering, from the book, To Bless the Space Between Us by John O'Donahue:   "May I have the courage today To live the life that I would love, To postpone my dream no longer But do at last what I came here for And waste me heart on fear no more."   Come say "hi" on Instagram @iamdarenemichele  🦋 If you found value in this episode, I'd be so grateful if you'd leave a review!  Thank you!!  ❤️
If you're a woman in your middle years, like me, you've most likely spent decades believing the message that you must sacrifice yourself for everyone else.  That everyone else's needs come first.  That you should come last.   Here in our middle years, it's time to finally invest in ourself and our dreams.  To allow ourself to begin creating the life we REALLY want to live.  To recognize our worth and value.  That we deserve to come first sometimes.   It's time to take our power back.  To put our stake in the ground and declare that we are going to finally do the "thing" we've been wanting to do for yeeeeaaaars!      Come say "hi" on Instagram @iamdarlenemichele  🦋 If you found value in this episode, please leave a review.  I'd so appreciate it!  ❤️
In today's Minisode, I discuss this quote by Bryant McGill: "When the storm rips you to pieces, you get to decide how to put yourself back together again."   Come say "hi" on Instagram @iamdarlenemichele  🦋 If you found value in this episode, I'd be so grateful if you'd leave a review.  Thank you!  ❤️
Is so easy to think when to get to middle-age, that it's too late to create the life we want to live.  That's simply BS. While some people are able to start living their purpose earlier, most of don't get to that place until later.  After we've gained some wisdom from decades of life experiences.   Join me as I sit down and have a heart to heart about all this.  It's a message I'm passionate about and the whole reason I even started this podcast.   Much Love, Darlene Michele   Come say "hi" on Instagram @iamdarlenemichele 🦋 If you found value in this episode, please leave a review.  I'd be so grateful! ❤️
