Deborah seems to be the only one of the three who lives in the real world.... well, the world I know as a 50-something mother of two university students and a professional career. The other two make some good points, but I'm in Spain and there are so few women who do not go out and work. It's not a choice!! EVERY woman has to contribute or her family won't pay the rent. Guess who provides unpaid childcare!?? The exhausted retired grandma's! And no, it's not great, they watch TV all day.

1.25 talking about women being nurturers - very angry to hear this part of the debate stating women are natural nurturers and implying men don't want to stay home with children. Lucy Jones rebuts this well in 'Matrescence' - where she outlines studies demonstrating that fathers and males who spend time in nurturing roles have been measured as developing higher rates of hormones to increase this aptitude. Men are very much as capable of being a primary carer for young children.
