In the process of filmmaking, there is always a person who checks to ensure production is still on budget, the time is being kept, the schedule is up-to-date and the actors are on set. This crew member helps the director stay on track and can always draw his attention back to the goals to ensure minimal chaos in filmmaking. They are one of the heroes of filming, but their roles are usually neglected.
