Episode 005: Crvvcks

2020-10-2559:40

In this episode of Discuss EDM, I interview up and coming UK house DJ & Producer Crvvcks. His summery flavour of chilled-out house is popping off at the moment with Joe having recently signed a deal with Sony Music. In this episode, we talk about his journey through school and university, Leeds nightlife, sharing a house with other talented producers, keeping his vision clear and his plan for the future.
In this episode of Discuss EDM, I actually speak to a non-EDM artist (*gasp!*). Adam is a prolific singer-songwriter and producer from Salt Lake City, Utah who has amassed over 200,000 monthly listeners on his Spotify through his original, self-produced, uber sleek pop music that he releases as an independent artist. In this episode, we talk about working in LA, Adam's approach to songwriting, and also his long-term vision for his music.
Episode 003: Chase Keller

Episode 003: Chase Keller

2020-08-3102:38:09

In this episode of Discuss EDM, I talk to my long-time producer and DJ friend Chase Keller. Chase has made a name for himself as a versatile music producer with popular independent releases in a wide variety of EDM genres and is a regular name on BBC Radio’s Introducing South East show. He is also the head of Orchard House Studio in Surrey and DJs private parties and University club nights through his events company ARRIA. In this episode, we get into a deep discussion around the struggles of being an up and coming Producer & DJ, including dealing with major record labels, rejection, frustration and keeping a positive attitude.
Episode 002: Hibell

Episode 002: Hibell

2020-08-1601:25:06

In this episode, I speak to my long time producer buddy Hibell. Originally known for his tropical progressive house infusions a few years ago that garnered him millions of plays on SoundCloud, he's now a Gold RIAA certified producer for his work with huge artists such as Olly Murs, Little Mix, Britney Spears, and Bastille. We talk about Aaron's journey including how we met, dropping out of university, working in Los Angeles, and his plans for the future.
Kicking off the podcast, I discuss (in a terribly unprepared manner) my plans for the show, who I will likely get to come on the show with me, and the perils of turning 25 years old...
