As the eldest daughter of an immigrant family, I've spent the past few years coming to terms with the fact that I'm okay with not having children, despite growing up wanting to be a mother and also conditioned into believing that I "should" have kids by the time I'm 30. Everywhere you look in the spirituality corner of the internet, there are people telling you how to get better and fix your habits, your thought patterns, your conditioning, your relationships... you get the idea. Recognising that there are patterns and habits that don't serve you and being aware that they're unhealthy is important. But approaching it with the mindset of "fixing"... can actually lead you deeper into your cycles of shame, which leads to further disconnection with who you truly are at your core. In this episode, we explore how to approach your wounds through shadow work from a healthy mindset that doesn't focus on "fixing". So that you can actually build that deep, secure connection with yourself - and step into true self-acceptance.
