On this episode of the Dr. Tyna Show, I am honored to be joined by Brian Richards. Brian is the founder and CEO of SaunaSpace and has created an incredible, natural fire light sauna experience. It feels like the sun when you walk in. For this girl who lives in rainy, tyrannical Oregon, this has been hugely helpful for me this winter. The SaunaSpace bulbs are zero EMF thermalight technology, which has a very similar light distribution to sunlight. I honestly still didn’t understand the technology behind them, so I invited Brian on the show. What transpired was an enlightening conversation about light, sauna and ultimately how to activate your skin for optimized health. On this episode of the Dr. Tyna Show, I am sitting down with Catharine Arnston, the Founder, CEO and Chief Scientific Officer of Energy Bits, makers behind the small but mighty algae tablets. My mentor was big into the health benefits of algae as a supplement, but I’ve never given it the attention that it deserves. Recently I was looking into it again as a food source, as I am not a huge fan of vegetables. I am transitioning out of a largely meat-based, carnivore diet and back into a more variety type diet now that my gut and immune symptoms are more under control, and algae seems like a perfect fit for this. As luck would have it, I was connected to Catharine and I couldn’t wait to get her on the show and pick her brain. This was a fascinating conversation and I learned a lot, I know you will too. On this week's episode, I am going to be talking about how and why Ozempic does NOT cause muscle loss. If you have pre-diabetes or diabetes, listen up, because you can go as low carb as you want and you can take all the Ozempic in the world, but you are never going to get ahead if you're not actively building muscle. Today on the Dr. Tyna Show, we’re talking all things light and how it impacts your health and your hormones. We’re sitting down with my good friend Sarah Kleiner, she’s a health and wellness expert. And while I knew sunlight and daylight were important for circadian rhythm, for Vitamin D synthesis,  for mitochondria function, I  didn't understand it as deeply as I do now since I've been following Sarah’s content. I absolutely love what she has to say, so I had to bring her on the pod. And trust me, this is not a boring conversation. You are going to absolutely love it. You can go outside and get light in your eyes and on your skin and have profound health benefits. On This Episode We Cover: 02:10 - Introduction to Sarah Kleiner 06:15 - Sarah’s fertility journey 12:56 - Sarah’s weight loss journey 16:46 - The importance of getting light 22:46 - Leptin as a light molecule 28:00 - 12 and 2 32:06 - Skipping late night eating 40:01 - Discussion on Melatonin  45:00 - Why you need to turn your lights off in the evening  50:55 - Incandescent Bulbs 55:03 - Red light therapy and when to do it 58:15 - Should you wear clothes during red light therapy? 59:48 - Why NOT to wear sunglasses Check Out Sarah Kleiner Evolving Wellness Podcast Instagram  Website Sponsored By: ALITURA NATURALS SKIN CARE Use Code DRTYNA for 20% off https://alitura.com/ BIOptimizers  Go to bioptimizers.com/drtyna and use code DRTYNA to save 10% and get a free gift with purchase  LMNT Get 8 FREE packs with any order at drinkLMNT.com/drtyna Head to www.Drtyna.com for the following offers: GET MY “OZEMPIC DONE RIGHT” FREE Mini-Course: https://www.drtyna.com/ozempicdoneright Grab my FREE GUIDE to Assess Your Metabolic Health. Today I dive right into the topic of GLP-1 agonists and their innovative use for osteoarthritis treatment. I’ll discuss the metabolic aspects of OA and its link to increased heart disease risk. Research by Meurot is cited to demonstrate the anti-inflammatory effects of GLP-1 agonists and their role in reducing joint pain. The episode also dispels misconceptions about GLP-1 effects on muscle and bone, highlighting their supportive role in muscle synthesis and bone strength. Do you know how they are counting covid numbers in Alberta? If you've had a shot within 2 weeks of needing to go to the hospital and you have covid symptoms, then you are considered an unvaccinated covid case. So deceptive.
