For Paul, going after his Macedonia meant leaving his comfort zone and familiar territories for unfamiliar ones. It is the place you see in your vision; the place your help is needed. Usually your Macedonia does not come to meet you. You go after it just as Jesus came to us on earth. Your are stretched in this place; but there is an usual reach at the same time? And obviously, this goes beyond a physical location, it could be a new people group, a new place, opportunity, phase of ministry, area of service etc Nurture your gifts where you are, blossom where you are planted, and be prepared for your Macedonia. Live and Lead by design!  

There were 5 prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch. They discerned God's voice and sent Paul and Barnabas off. Have you got a small circle of faithful friends with whom you collectively seek the Lord, seek His will for our lives and serve as a launching pad to release us into our destiny? The Word of the Lord is not lacking here. This is not necessarily about your physical location as much as it is about these people.  Who have you given the permission to help you discern God's voice for your life and speak frankly about it? Live and lead by design!

Another relationship you should keep in order to stay on fire - A Timothy! Paul finds Timothy on his second missionary journey. Timothy grows to become an impactful helper to Paul and a steward of the Gospel. Every disciple has received the Great Commission; go make disciples and teach them to obey. Who is your Timothy. You need a Timothy! Live and lead by design!

Guess what? Barnabas wasn't his name, Joseph was! Barnabas was only his nickname meaning Son of Encouragement. He however so lived out this attribute that he was then called Barnabas.  We were not designed to be self-sufficient! Barnabas represents a figure of encouragement (paraklesis in Greek), inspiration and accountability; one that is an example; one who believes in you and can vouch for you; one who has been where you are headed for or can help you get there. You need a Barnabas! Who is your Barnabas? Live and Lead by design!

We are Sons! We are loved of God! Yet, we are also disciples. This is part of our Identity. Disciples were called Talmidim in Jewish culture and that connotation meant a lot. It is important not to lose grasp of this as the intentional spread of the Gospel rests on this! How do we live by this daily? There's some insight. I reviewed the book The 10 second rule by Clare De Graaf. Follow until the end. Live and lead by design!

Here we look at the issue of Lordship? The first relationship a disciple establishes is that with his or her Lord!.. and more so, Lord of all! What are the implications of Lordship? How do we approach Lordship? What do we learn from Paul's experience? Be edified, be transformed!
