This episode is dedicated to those struggling with cancer. Please check out Rich and what he is doing and reach out if you have any ideas for places for him to go! Thank you!
At age 16, Greg Morton got first job at a local department store, as a P.A. announcer. That same voice that grabbed the attention of shoppers, recently wowed judges, on the season 14 premier of America’s Got Talent. Howie Mandel said, “I can’t believe there isn’t a banner with your name on it in Vegas,” and called him a one-man variety show!
After 35 years of entertaining audiences worldwide, opening for Celine Dion, Harry Connick Jr. and Luther Vandross at Radio City Music Hall – appearing on Just for Laughs, Comedy Central’s Premium Blend, Comic’s Unleashed, and his own Dry Bar Comedy Special, he’s here to perform for you tonight.
Ladies and gentlemen, Greg Morton!
Greg Warren, most recently seen on Late Night with Seth Meyers, The Late
Late Show and Comedy Central Presents, has built a strong fan base with an
act inspired by his Midwestern upbringing. His CDs, Running Out of Time (Sept
2013) and One Star Wonder (June 2009) hit #3 and #6 respectively in iTunes
Top Comedy Albums. An honest mix of self-deprecation, frustration and an
arsenal of lifelike characters highlight Greg’s colorful perspective.
Greg attracts a diverse audience spectrum, having performed as a finalist on
BET’s Coming to the Stage and on Country Music Television. He is a favorite
on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Radio Show, which led to touring
theaters nationwide with The Bob & Tom All Stars Comedy Tour.
Greg hails from St. Louis, MO, where his father was a high school wrestling
coach and his mother made him play clarinet in the band. He has captivated
audiences with anecdotes about the conflict inherent in meshing the two
disparate high school identities of varsity wrestler and band geek. Greg’s “Flute
Man” bit is a perfect encapsulation of the insecurities of high school and the
ongoing quest to be cool, and is one of the most requested bits in the history of
the Bob & Tom Show. Greg was also a West Point Cadet, where he
distinguished himself by amassing an impressive tally of demerits and endless
hours of pointless marching. After moving on to the University of Missouri, he
studied journalism and became an All-American college wrestler.
During college, Greg won a comedy contest and was invited to perform at Déjà
Vu, a local club in Columbia, MO. After a stint selling Jif and Pringles for Procter
& Gamble, Greg made the decision to become a full-time comedian. This bold
move led to an invitation to Montreal’s prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy
Festival in 2002, where Greg performed as one of the featured New Faces of
Comedy. He has also been seen on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and
NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Greg’s background resulted in a gig doing college wrestling color commentary for
Fox Sports Midwest. He is heard daily on Sirius/XM Comedy and headlines
comedy clubs across the country. He appeared in the independent films 23
Minutes to Sunrise and Marshall The Miracle Dog. He is a founding member
of the St. Louis Sketch Week Players whose sketches can be heard on
Sirius/XM and Pandora.
Jeremiah Watkins is heralded as the comedian for making Judd Apatow fall in love with comedy again, and that’s a direct quote from Judd himself! You may know him as the Bandleader of Kill Tony, the #1 Live Podcast in the world or as 1/3 of The Wave from Roast Battle. Other credits include Lights Out with David Spade, Netflix’s Historical Roasts, Jimmy Kimmel Live & more. Jeremiah’s off-the-cuff and physical standup style guarantee you a memorable show experience like you’ve never seen before.

With recent appearances on Access Hollywood and in Parade Magazine, how does Comic Hypnotist Rich Guzzi plan to keep the momentum going? How about a nation wide 300 show comedy tour to prepare for the one hour special he is developing!
Rich Guzzi is a comedian that does hypnosis, not a hypnotist that does comedy; that is what ultimately sets his show apart from others. At any given time, Rich can take an already hilarious situation happening on stage and turn it into an unforgettable moment. Hypnotizing a group of audience members and being able to have them act outrageously is one thing, but making the scenarios create a storyline that
Mandee McKelvey is a hilarious Louisville-based comic, seen often in Character Assassination’s monthly Roasts. She’s also a moving and captivating storyteller and has run a storytelling event, titled “We Still Like You,” for almost two years. She is the 2018 Carney Award winner for Comedian of the Year and recently opened for Tig Notaro at the Kentucky Center. This weekend, July 20-21, she’ll be performing her first-ever one-woman show, “Mandee McKelvey: Herself.” By our math: Great Comedy + Great Storytelling = One Awesome Show. Our interview by phone was basically 25 minutes of gold, wherein we literally laughed and cried. Here is an excerpt from that interview, but we’ve left out the really good stuff, because you should go see the show. Welcome to The Egos Last Stand podcast. Ryan began his comedy career in Los Angeles, California, and hasn’t looked back since, performing in clubs and colleges across the country. Covering topics such as dating, trying to find employment, and attempting to find acceptance in a world not designed for him, Ryan tackles the issues in a way that makes you think while laughing the entire time. With his quick wit, great timing, and a gimmick that only he can exploit, Ryan hopes to prove to the comedy world that he may be unarmed, but he is dangerous.

Jennie Stencel (born May 19, 1976) was formerly the traffic reporter at KENS-TV, a CBS affiliate in San Antonio, Texas, United States. The art of classic stand-up comedy is still a thing! And one of today’s talented comedians lending to that style comes from the voice of Drew Thomas. For over 10 years, Drew has been treating the stage like his home, drawing his diverse audiences into a world of “face hurting” laughter with his quick wit and smooth delivery he gives accounts of relationship follies and keen retorts on everyday life. Originally a native of Kingston Jamaica, Drew migrated with his family to the U.S. at 9 years old. Adjusting to New York culture was quite the adolescent challenge at first, but he soon made friends by defending himself through humor and honing his skill of “snapping" in his Bronx neighborhood. It was not much later, while listening to an Eddie Murphy comedy album in his friend’s living room that he envisioned himself becoming a stand-up comedian "one day". Years later, after being fired from his job as a car salesman in Atlanta and consistent nudging from a friend, Drew decided to "get off the couch" and finally give his childhood dream a shot. While pursuing a second degree in Theatre at Kennesaw State University, he convinced event organizers to let him open at their Valentine’s Day comedy show. Within a short amount of time, Drew went from winning a local comedy competition 3 months in a row, to honing his set and hosting at the infamous Phat Comedy Show at Twisted Taco and the legendary Punchline in Atlanta. In 2006, Drew was voted Best Comedian in Atlanta by Creative Loafing and soon after hit the road touring the country performing in 45 states, 40 plus weeks a year. His hard work has led to appearances on NBC's Last Comic Standing (Seasons 6 & 9) and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, For 3 yrs Drew was the opening act on Rodney Carrington’s Laughter’s Good Tour playing countless theaters, arenas and casinos throughout the U.S. and Canada. Drew has also opened for notable musical acts such as Salt N Pepa, Boyz II Men, Chaka Khan, Al Green, Jeffrey Osborne, Tito Jackson, M.C. Hammer, The Temptations, Morris Day and The Isley Brothers, just to name a few. He's also appeared at over 75 Colleges and Universities. In addition to performing, he also produced two successful comedy series at California’s Morongo and Chumash casinos. You can currently catch him on Gotham Comedy Live, Laughs on Fox and Comedy All Stars on Pure Flix or at a Comedy Club near you. His work ethic is above par and he continues to grow as an artist. He mentors young comics, does private comedy coaching, and still makes time to take acting classes and maintain a personal life. Look out for upcoming projects Summer 2020!
Comedian Gabe Kea's unbridled enthusiasm for entertaining audiences is what truly sets him apart. With a personality as big as his 6'5" frame, Gabe melds well-crafted jokes with his comedic physicality to create an unforgettable show. He eventually relocated to southwestern Ohio, where he won the "Funniest Person in Cincinnati" contest. Gabe is a former recipient of Rooftop Comedy's Silver Nail, awarded to those that distinguished themselves in the underground stand-up scene. Gabe has made several appearances on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Show. He performed with "Community" star Joel McHale at Gilda's Laugh Fest, has also been featured in the Limestone Comedy Festival in Bloomington Indiana, and the Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Fest. Stand up comedy was something I wanted to try for a long time. I put it of for the better part of a decade and finally signed up for an open mic in 2004 at The Comedy Caravan in my hometown, Louisville, Ky. I did 3 minutes and some of it worked. I experience and intense natural high that I continue to chase every time I do a show. My second time on stage was an open mic at bar in front of mostly comedians. None of it worked and I experience a natural low that I continue to avoid to this very day.
I’ve been very lucky to have worked a wide variety of stand up shows and to have opened for some of the absolute best stand up comics in the world: Bert Kreischer, Greg Fitzsimmons, Kyle Kinane, Mary Lynn Rajskub, and recently I’ve been opening for Joey Diaz (The Church of What’s Happening Now/Joe Rogan Experience) when he performs in the Midwest/South
I’m a regular performer at what I consider my two home clubs: The Caravan (Louisville) and Comedy Off Broadway(Lexington)
