Hey Arcaders! Tonight is the opening night for a film a lot of us have waited for... Ghostbusters Afterlife.  And before we see the film, I thought we could talk about our Ghostbusters memories. I know I have a lot of them. So, I thought we would do a two part podcast on the Ghostbusters- This one on everything we remember the movies, games, cartoons, The Universal attraction, and anything else we could think of. It's hard to believe, that 50 years have gone by since the opening of Walt Disney World. I was five years old, and remember getting a Walt Disney World mini comic book on a trip from Florida to Connecticut that year. I was always fascinated by it. And now, on this 50th anniversary, I thought it would be fun to go back and talk about Josh's, Danny's, and my memories working and playing there. For better or worse, these media nuggets exist for us to devour (or get sick on– viewer’s choice.) In the pantheon of all arcade games- few can hold the title of a game that defined a genre of gaming- before there was a word for it. As Pac- Man did the year before for the maze chase- Donkey Kong defined the platformer. The game also defined a companies direction, and the game's protagonist- Jumpman-  became Mario, and would lead the fledgling video game company to so much success for decades to come. And now, at the 40th anniversary, I thought it would be fun to talk about our favorite Donkey Kong memories! when did we first see the original game (or any of it's sequels or ports) and what was our favorite?
