We will examine what scripture reveals as the message of men like John the Baptist, Philip, Apollos, Paul and Jesus Himself taught as the Gospel. We will discover that their message consistently contained certain essential elements that are absent from what is being declared as the Gospel today. This FULL Gospel of the early church leadership was said to have turned the then known world "upside down"(Acts 17:6). As a matter of fact, the enemy fights vehemently to obscure the revelation of the Full Gospel of the Kingdom, because it is the only message with the power to destroy his works and displace his kingdom; as well as its proclamation signalling the beginning of the end for him and his kingdom (Matthew 24:14). The church has reduced the gospel to a “salvation only” message, whose focus is individualistic and internal. This was not the gospel Jesus taught, demonstrated and delivered to the church. The gospel Jesus delivered to the church included the internal transformation of the individual, but placed most of its focus upon the external manifestation of what they possessed resulting in the transformation of their lives as well as society at large. This was due to their Gospel being Kingdom focused. They were kingdom conscious and understood that salvation was the beginning not the end of their Christian experience. It was the means by which they gained access into a greater reality called the Kingdom of God. The gospel of salvation was a component of a larger letter, not the summation of it. The salvation only message has literally caused the church to become “saved but stuck”. Many are saved but are unable to realize the joy of their salvation and the fulfillment that the gospel promises them. This is because they have yet to receive the rest of the gospel – or The Full Gospel!

If we were to take a close look at the central theme of the Bible,and more specifically the message Jesus taught and instructed the churches' leadership to teach, we would discover that this message has been lost. Although the Gospel proclaims that this message is to be the believer's primary pursuit, the foundation for our prayers and the specific message that is to be taken to the nations, our bible schools, colleges, seminaries and church often fail to offer one course on this message. What is this message? This message is the Kingdom of God. From Genesis to Revelation the Kingdom of God is proclaimed. However, in light of the Kingdom's persistent and preemiment place found in scripture, it has been replaced by a "salvation only" message which has greatly hindered the advancement of the gospel and the Kingdom in the earth.
