Too often we set goals for ourselves that we're not motivated to achieve, other times we set goals that feel right at the moment only to eventually see we were never really bought in. How can we stop wasting time on the wrong goals and focus on the goals that are in line with our dream life? The answer is reevaluation. We need to remember to take a step back sometimes and reorient ourselves. We need to see if our current goals and direction are leading us to the life we are striving to live. This can be a daunting task because we don't want to feel as though we've wasted any time or effort but it's essential to our success to see where we are and if we're heading in the right direction. In today's episode, Jamie discusses this topic, and more. If you enjoyed today's episode please rate 5 stars and subscribe! If you found some value out of today's episode share it with a friend! Process Over Outcome

Process Over Outcome

2020-05-0822:07

Why do some people never achieve their goals? They focus far too much on the outcome and not enough on the process. We put all this pressure on ourselves to reach an outcome that we can't control only to realize that the pressure is creating fear which often leads to failure. The quicker it's realized that focusing on the process and giving our best at this moment, the quicker we free ourselves from the burden of self-created pressure. As we free ourselves we can then focus on growth through the process! The most successful people in the world focus on the process, they give their best in the moment and they focus on getting better at their craft. What's one of the key similarities of all successful people? Their level of will power. Like the great Vince Lombardi stated, "The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will". In today's episode, Jamie discusses will power and how it essentially boils down to "do you want it bad enough". If you enjoyed today's episode please rate 5 stars and subscribe! Be Your Own Hero

Be Your Own Hero

2020-04-2018:16

We all know the Hero stories, we've all seen the Marvel movies, we've heard someone on the news be called a hero many times before but the question is who is your hero? Retired Navy SEAL and Motivational Speaker David Goggins says it should be you. The next question is how do you become a hero at all, let alone your own? Heroes are bigger than life figures who tackle every obstacle with fortitude and commitment, they seem unattainable, and almost inhuman...  In today's episode, Jamie discusses the difference between a mentor and a hero, what it takes to be a hero, and why exactly you should be your own. Reaching our potential is hard and striving for greatness is relentless. This task is daunting and can make us feel lost and insignificant, it can feel impossible. We have a choice though, we have a choice in every moment to decided to become something more. In every moment there is an opportunity to turn things around, to take the next step, or simply focus on who you want to become. Entrepreneur Tom Bilyeu has said "It doesn't matter where you start. It doesn't matter how lost you feel. At any moment, at absolutely ANY MOMENT, you can decide you're going to turn it around. You can DECIDE you're going to BECOME something. You can stop focusing on who you are now and ask who you want to become."  The choice is yours, the moment is now. What do you choose? The world has changed whether we like it or not. We live in a different world now because of the COVID-19 fiasco and all we can do is accept it and take advantage of it. The great Zig Ziglar once taught "Expect the best. Prepare for the worst. Capitalize on what comes".  These words have never been more relevant but how do we capitalize at this time? It starts first with a mindset shift and a different perspective mixed in with some opportunistic thinking.  The world, for the most part, has taken a standstill which means this is the time for you to finally do that thing you've always wanted to do but "didn't have the time" to do it. Now is the time to craft that business plan, write that book, take that self-development coarse, or learn to finally cook like a pro. Now is the time to capitalize on the hand that we were dealt. Average Is Enough

Average Is Enough

2020-03-2417:32

Most people are overwhelming average. If that's all you read that could be extremely demoralizing to the ego. The good thing about realizing we're all very average is the second realization; that average is enough to get started.  We don't have to stay average! What separates the successful from the unsuccessful is taking on the journey of escaping average and growing into our potential. Average is enough but staying average is not going to cut it, at least not within our community. One of the amazing things about being human is the fact that we can continuously grow and become better, the only thing standing in our way is the choice that we need to make in order to do so.
