In the first of two episodes, I join Mr W of the GCSE History Revision Podcast to talk about the rise of Hitler.In November 1923, a bunch of political chancers launched an attempted coup - a putsch - from a beer cellar. A collection of ex-soldiers and political monomaniacs led by a failed artist, they thought they could repeat Mussolini's March on Rome. Who were they?In this episode we look at the early history of the National Socialist German Workers' Party - the Nazis - and the causes of the Beer Hall Putsch. We look at the events of the failed rebellion and then look at the consequences for Hitler, the Party and Germany as a whole.

As the farcical actions of a ragtag group of young nationalists plunges Europe into war, we look at the reactions in Germany, Italy and Spain. Mussolini's brief career in the military had little effect on his political outlook. In fact, once his national service was over, his abilities in reading the public mood meant that his rise to prominence in the Socialist Party came about even faster...

Not very scholarly this Mr W, you can't learn anything by ridiculing what you don't know enough about, skewing it to suit your personal agenda, morals and outlook on life, he should be stripped of his professor credentials, that is no proper way to teach any subject matter, especially not by a bloated ignorant fool.
