13: A Flow with GARRETT RAY

We are back and ready to roll! Kicking things off is this man of God, Garrett Ray! As a fellow coffee connoisseur, we of course begin with some coffee talk and find out what we have brewing. Then we talk about calling and how to know when you are called when you don't have a dramatic audible moment. Ministry, preparation, routine, and travel - just a few of the areas we talk about. Lastly, we talk about the source of validation and having confidence in God. Follow Garrett on Instagram for some killer cappuccino pours @_garrett_ray Also, follow us @theflow.podcast

9: Creative for The Kingdom

As usual, sit back and enjoy your cup of joe while we talk about being creatives in the Kingdom. Continuing in the vein of conversation about ministry, we want to continue to change the perspective of what ministry is and can be.  Each of us (Justin and Joel) are big-time creatives, but we each express that creativity in different ways so we explore those differences some today.

8: What Is Ministry: Fruit of The Spirit

Less about ministry and more about day-to-day life this episode digs into the importance of having spiritual fruit. Having the fruit of the Spirit is in the same context as walking in the Spirit. Where and with who we spend our time in fellowship is the key to what our life will produce. This episode is more of a Bible study format, and hopefully less of our opinions. As always, we also get into practical applications for daily life, specifically for how to better produce the fruit of The Spirit. 7: What is Ministry? Am I called?

We begin this episode by talking about how church culture can form our idea of the ministry to be something that is such a small part of what ministry really is, and that thing is "pulpit ministry". We have even started hearing people say, "I'm called to preach," and what they mean a lot of times is they're called to the pulpit. In this episode, we want to expand the perspective and give a more complete and real view of what ministry entails. Maybe because you don't feel a calling to preach in a pulpit you have disqualified yourself as a minister. If this is you, then I believe you will find this episode helpful and encouraging. As always, thank you for listening.  Follow The Flow on Instagram.  Your hosts, Justin & Joel

We continue with talking about walking in the flow of the Holy Ghost and how that looks on a day to day basis.

How I Sermon Prep (my preparation routine and philosophy)

Sometimes, good ministry vs. bad ministry isn’t decided by the contents of a message, but it’s decided by someone's preparation. This is my sermon preparation process. Much of the process is preparing myself... as you will hear in this episode. For thirty years, I have witnessed ministry, studied the Bible about ministry, ministered some myself, and learned some ways that ministry should and shouldn't look. I haven't arrived at a final destination, but the things I share in this are part of my pursuit to be His vessel of honor. How I've Learned To Stop Questioning My Purpose

“What if I miss what God wants me to do because I haven’t tried options x, y, or z?” This is something I question often. There is an overwhelming number of options in life, and as Christians, it is essential to have the right focus to make correct decisions. Clarity of focus brings clarity of purpose. The Bible and Prayer are ways to fellowship with God, who orders our steps in the way we should go.These are some of the things I discuss in this short episode. Enjoy, and share this with a friend.-Follow us for other forms of content:- Instagram:  / theflow.podcast  - Substack: https://theflowpodcast.substack.com/X: https://x.com/jchart4- Youtube: https://youtube.com/@jchart4?si=NwJRhinWo5QlsOhD
