The Foil Project

Foiling has a story, and we are here to help write it. Join in on conversations with some of the worlds best foilers and local heroes to learn what makes them tick and what makes this sport so special. Hopefully we can learn a thing or two about foiling, and perhaps even life, along the way.

“We capsized Sailing from England to Tasmania” - Ben Warrick | Aus Tour Ep.6

Rent Desert Winds at thefoilproject.comBen is an anaesthetist from the UK now living in Tasmania, and like the rest of us, he is addicted to foiling. Coming from other disciplines his most recent endeavour has been going full downwind mode, and he is seeing success. Ben talks us through his past of water sports and the state of foiling in both the UK and Tasmania. We also chat about Shipsterns bluff (before foiling it) and a heap of other interesting topics. This also has to be my favourite podcast for visuals as we drive through some beautiful scenery in Tasmania. What a place! Tasmania definitely is a place to remember.

Luc Lohier - Fixing a Jetski with a GoPro Bolt and more | Aus Tour Ep. 5

Join Luc and Hugh as they drive back from an (eventful) tow foiling session on the Northern Beaches with fellow foiler Zac Chappelow. Luc recounts the story then dives into how he got into the sport and where he is going. On top of being an insane foiler, Luc is an engineering student and clearly has an epic path ahead! Can't wait to see what is in store for him and I hope you enjoy this episode.

The Duke and the Frenchman | Luke Atkinson and Adrien Destang | Aus Tour Ep. 2

Adrien and Luke are two of the leading foil chargers in the Byron Bay Area. Adrein is an all time frother and foil ripper, a super contagious person to hang around. After this interview, Luke went on to win the Surf Foil division, putting down some crazy snaps similar to the one in this intro video. It was great to get some sessions in with these guys and find the time to sit down for a chat.Rent Desert Winds Here: https://thefoilproject.vhx.tv/
