The war between Ukraine and Russia has been raging for more than a thousand days.   FOX News Chief Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst spoke exclusively with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy this past Tuesday during a recent trip to the country.   Zelensky weighed in on many issues facing his war-torn nation, including its struggle to remain united after years of war with Russia and concerns about his nation losing support from the United States and their European allies. He also discussed President Biden recently authorizing Ukraine to use U.S.-supplied long-range missiles deeper into Russia, what he expects from the incoming Trump administration, and the threat of the conflict igniting World War III.   Since Trey’s interview, the war has escalated further, including Russia’s use of an intermediate-range ballistic missile in Ukraine on Thursday. This week, President-elect Trump's first pick for Attorney General, former Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL), announced he was withdrawing his name from consideration for the position. The FBI is investigating whether or not a recent string of of burglaries of high-profile professional athletes could be connected to a transnational crime ring out of South America. NFL players Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce along with NBA players Mike Conley Jr and Bobby Portis all have had their homes broken into with thousands in cash and property stolen. The NFL has told all players to update the security at their homes. Congressman Matt Gaetz has taken himself out of the running for Attorney General in the next Trump administration. The embattled legislator faced heavy criticism after President-elect Trump named him as the pick for AG, with allegations of sexual misconduct surrounding the Congressman. DOGE, or the Department of Government Efficiency, slated to be run by Trump allies Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy, has begun making waves through Washington. Musk and Ramaswamy have already begun putting out preliminary plans for how they might tighten up federal spending to slash the deficit. Even those not known to be fans of the Trump administration, like Senator Chris Coons (D-DE), are conceding that this new department could be a step in the right direction. Both Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the FBI in Houston have issued warnings that Chinese spies are harassing Chinese citizens that are critical of the Chinese Communist Party. The warnings involve the presence of a Chinese "police service station", basically a spy house, who's agents intimidate, physically hurt and kidnap Chinese citizens who have escaped from China. Along with the warnings, Gov. Abbott has issued an executive order for Texas State Police to immediately start making arrests.
