5 Strategies to Help You Get More Comments and Shares on Your Live Videos Do you want to get more likes, comments, shares and sales from your live videos? We knew this decision would require us to come up with more creative ways to create engagement in our videos so we could still get tons of likes, comments, shares and sales without advertising.  The strategies we’ve been using are working REALLY well… and it’s not uncommon for us to get several thousand views on our live videos, and dozens of shares… which means our content is being seen by people we don’t know, and who don’t know us! Pretty cool, right?  I’m excited to share these strategies with you inside this episode so you can begin using them to get more engagement in your own live videos. Schedule Your Live Videos Ahead of Time One strategy we’ve found that really helps boost engagement is to schedule your videos ahead of time using an app like Belive.tv.  Get really good at being consistent — the people who get the best results with live video are those who show up, consistently, week in and week out. You need to train your audience to expect you, so they are anticipating your upcoming broadcast and begin looking for it in their feed each week.  By deciding ahead of time what day and time you’ll go live each week, sticking with that schedule consistently and using Belive.tv to schedule your live videos so people can get reminders, you’ll build up a loyal audience of people who can’t wait to tune in!  How often should you REALLY go live each week? I share the answer inside the podcast episode so be sure to tune in! Send an Email to Your List to Remind Them About Your Live Video What? You’re not building an email list? Check out Episode 35 now to discover why you ABSOLUTELY need to be building a list if you want to grow a successful business longterm.  When we started emailing our list 15-45 minutes before our live video each week, we saw a major increase in our engagement. Keep the emails short and sweet: share the title of your upcoming broadcast, and tease the benefits of what you’ll be covering and WHY someone would want to tune in. Ask for Engagement During Your Live Videos If you want something in life, you just gotta ask for it! And that includes asking for engagement in your live videos! Ask your viewers to share their location, whether they’re tuning in live or catching the replay, and for agreement throughout the broadcast by sharing a 1, 2 or 3 in the comments when they can relate to something you said. Run a Contest to Get More Shares in Your Live Videos This has been a game-changing strategy for us. Throughout your broadcast encourage people to share your video by offering a free giveaway. In our Real-Talk Wednesday broadcasts each week we ask our audience to share and comment on the video to go in to a drawing to win a free book or audio.  What you give away isn’t important — it can be anything related to your niche, or even something as simple as a Starbucks or Amazon gift card! The important thing is to be consistent and train your audience to expect a giveaway… this will create momentum and excitement around your videos and you’ll find you get more and more shares every week. Do Your Live Videos with a Purpose One of the most important things you can get from this episode is that if you want to get more likes, comments, shares and sales from your live videos you need to go live with purpose and intention.  Create a strategy and a plan, then work your plan! Freedom Factor Birthday Edition | 31 Things About Me You May Not Know It’s my birthday this week! So to mix things up I thought it might be fun to share some things about me you might not know. Amy Porterfield did a podcast episode like this recently, and I really enjoyed it… while it feels weird doing an entire episode about… well, myself!… I hope you’ll get some value from it and enjoy listening in.  In each episode of the Freedom FactorI like to provide you with a powerful free resource to help you get more out of our time together. As I look back over my life it’s incredibly clear that every significant accomplishment I’ve experienced started with vision. Vision makes the tough decisions in life a little easier. It helps you say yes to the things you should, and no to the things you shouldn’t. It helps both in the small and seemingly insignificant moments, and in the big ones, too. I’ve created this list with a few things in mind — yes, it will help you get to know me better, but what I really want is to share some things I believe will help you on your own journey in your business. It’s lighthearted, and fun… but I tried to sneak a few powerful lessons in there for you as well. Be sure to listen to the podcast for all the details.  1. I was born on August 24, 1987. 2. I was raised in a furniture store until I was 6 years old. Before I was born my Mom was a teacher and my Dad was a farmer. They wanted something with better hours and more flexibility, that would allow them to take me to work with them each day instead of putting me in daycare. They walked away from their careers and opened up a small retail furniture store in Lamesa, Texas. They even set up a display in the corner of the store for me to sell Barney stuffed animals and Mickey Mouse watches… my first entrepreneurial experience! This taught me from an early age that if you don’t like the way something is… change it! Where there’s a will, there’s a way! 3. We moved to Lubbock When I was 6 Years Old because the Pizza Hut Oven Broke. Seriously. You’ll want to listen to the podcast episode for this story… but trust me, it’s a good one! 4. Riding lessons were a ‘bribe’ from my parents for moving away. They thought I would get tired of horses, but here we are 25 years later and it hasn’t happened yet! 5. My parents bought me a pony for my 8th birthday. Her name is Maggie Mae, and I still have her! We’re both turning 31 years old this year. 6. My Grandpa Bill bought me my first “big” horse when I was 12 years old. 7. It took 12 months of riding almost every single day for me to learn how to ride my new horse. Even though I’d been riding for 6 years already, when I got my new horse I had no idea what I was doing. He was pretty mean… and since I was a small, timid rider he knew how to take advantage of me. I rode him in a small round pen almost every day for a full year before I learned how to ride him outside. Multiple times a week my Mom would pick me up, and I would cry the entire way home, but every time she asked if I wanted to sell him I said no. My trainer had told me if I could learn how to ride this horse I could ride any horse… and I wanted to know how to ride any horse so I stuck with it even though it really sucked. That horse and I never had a super great relationship, and as soon as I outgrew his level of training (6 years later) I sold him. 8. I used Visualization to learn how to ride my horse, even though I had no idea what it was. One year after buying me my horse, my Grandpa Bill was coming in town to see me ride and I was super embarrassed to tell him I was riding in the round pen because I didn’t know how to control my horse in the bigger arena. The week before he showed up I laid in bed, closed my eyes, and imagined myself riding my horse successfully outside. I imagined every detail… from the minute I caught him in his pen, until the minute I put him up again… I ended up laying there for over an hour, but I imagined everything going perfectly. The next morning I went to the barn super early (before my trainer could come outside and see what I was doing) and I completed the entire ride exactly as I had imagined it. When she finally did come outside and see me, I think she almost fainted from shock! From that day forward I never rode in the round pen ever again. 9. All through Jr. High and High School I was a HUGE nerd. I didn’t have many friends, and was bullied a lot for being so skinny. My “best friend” told the entire school I was anorexic in 7th grade because she had a crush on a boy that I liked. I was an AP Honors Student and never once got in trouble at school, until… 10 I skipped a class my senior year because my Dad told me to, and almost got suspended. When my senior year started by Dad told me I should break at least ONE rule before I graduated. So, on my birthday that year I went to ride my horse during lunch and didn’t come back for my afternoon class. I never missed class, so the teacher called the office and had them call my parents to see if everything was okay… and the next day the principle called me and my Dad into his office. When my Dad told the principal the truth, he told me I was free to go back to class while he and my Dad had “a little talk.” I’m not sure what happened to him, but I never got in trouble for it!  11. I started my network marketing business the summer before my Senior year in high school. 12. I left school 2 months into my senior year because of bullying. I homeschooled the rest of the semester, graduated early and enrolled at Texas Tech as a Business Marketing major in January of 2006. 13. I dropped out of Texas Tech after one year to pursue growing my business full-time. 14. I worked full-time at an apartment complex for a full year after leaving college. I wasn’t making a full-time income with my business yet, so I went to work at an apartment complex as a leasing agent/web designer. They weren’t hiring, but I called the owner early one Saturday morning and told him his website was really outdated and I could help him fix it. He hired me on the spot and paid me $2 more per hour than any other leasing agent because of my “web design” skills. What I didn’t tell him was that I had only built a couple of one-page websites before… and had no idea how to build a full website. I worked hard though, and designed all the pages and was the photographer for all 6 of the complexes they had in town. One day they told me I still had to come to work even though roads were icy… my business had grown quite a bit that year, and although I wasn’t quite at a full-time income level just yet, I turned in my 2 weeks notice that day and never looked back! 15. To make ends meet after quitting my apartment job I would go door-to-door to used car lots selling candles (our company’s product) for the salesmen to give to their wives. I hated every second of it but made about $300 a week, which helped me pay my bills until my team got big enough for me to stop. 16. I used to have panic attacks when I had to attend networking events. When people tell me they’re scared to take certain activities in their business, I TOTALLY get it. One of the ways I grew my business in the “early” days was to attend local networking events. I was a member of a BNI group, and the youngest person in the room by at least 15 years. I was so terrified to talk to these people… even though they were all super nice… and would sit in my car and have a panic attack every single week before the meeting started. Sometimes I wouldn’t even make it inside… I clearly remember one time walking up to the door, freaking out and turning around to go back to my car. I saw another member in the parking lot, started crying and ran off saying I had a family emergency. Even though I hated it, I kept going every single week until eventually I wasn’t scared anymore. I still don’t enjoy networking events or situations where I have to have small talk with strangers, but at least now I can do it when I need to! 17. My parents helped me buy my first house when I was 19. My parents used income from my Mom’s business to make the down payment, after recently using some of the other income from her business to pay cash for a HUGE in-ground swimming pool in their backyard. Although I ‘knew’ my Mom had tripled her prior teaching income with her business, this was the first time I saw network marketing income make a significant difference in our family’s life. 18. It took me 3 1/2 years to hit a leadership rank in my first company. In 2009 I was asked to speak on stage for the first time, as the youngest person in the company to hold a leadership rank. It was such a rush… and I realize that even though I really don’t like small talk or having to talk to people in groups, I absolutely love speaking from stage. 19. In 2006 I heard about Vision Boards for the first time, and in 2007 I created my own for the first time.  One of the most significant photos on my vision board was a photo of my ‘dream horse’. I searched the internet until I found a picture that looked like one of my trainer’s old horses (Kenney)… I’d trained on him some in high school, fell in love, and was heartbroken when he sold a year later. The photo on my vision board was a reminder that I would have a horse like him one day. 20. In 2011 I bought my dream horse.  Imagine my surprise when, after 5 years of staring at that photo on my vision board, I found an online ad for my dream horse… who also happened to fit within my very small budget. No, not a horse who resembled or reminded me of my dream horse… my ACTUAL dream horse — the exact same horse my
How to Automate Your Enrollment Process So You Can Sign Up Prospects In Your Sleep Wouldn’t it be nice if you could enroll new customers and team members in your sleep? In this week’s episode I’m showing you how our team has automated the enrollment process so we can grow a global business online across dozens of countries in every time zone. In each episode of the Freedom FactorI like to provide you with a powerful free resource to help you get more out of our time together. In this episode I not only want to tell you how to automate your enrollment process, but SHOW you exactly how we automate this step in our team so you can quickly implement it in your own business. Inside my Enrollment Steps Email Template I show you step by step what to include in your enrollment email so you fill in the blanks with your own company info and have a simple but powerful email to share with your prospects. You can download the email template for free by clicking on the image above or just click here. Success is network marketing is not about what works. It’s about what DUPLICATES. Lots of things work… but not everything duplicates. Duplication says: What I’m about to do with you, you must be able to immediately do with the next person you meet… with or without my help… whether that person lives across the street, across the state, across the country or around the globe.  If something is too complicated for the brand new person to do immediately, then it’s too complicated.  You can’t rely on your own closing skills, or what you say in a 1 on 1 coffee meeting. The enrollment process needs to be automated so it’s simple for ANYONE to do, regardless of their skill or confidence level. Not everyone can do a “power close”, but anyone can send a link or an email. That’s why this strategy is so powerful! Be sure to listen to the podcast for all the details.  Enrollment Kits The first thing you need in order to automate your enrollment process is a list of your company’s enrollment kits. Your prospect needs a simple way to see which kits are available, and which kit is the BEST one if they want to launch their business quickly. I explain exactly how our team does this inside the podcast episode, and show you the format we use inside my Enrollment Kit Email Template. Enrollment Steps In addition to the enrollment kits you also need a simple step-by-step guide that walks your prospect through the enrollment steps. You can do this visually either in a PDF document or a video. We’ve used both successfully.  Having this step-by-step visual in place eliminates any confusion that may happen during the enrollment. It not only takes the burden off of you, but makes it simple for your brand new people to enroll their first team members and helps the prospect see how simple the business can be. Confusion will almost ALWAYS stop people in their tracks. If a prospect is ready to enroll then becomes confused in the enrollment process, that can often be enough to stop them in their tracks and bring some of their earlier objections back to the surface. Duplication I already mentioned duplication, but let’s talk about how to duplicate this automated enrollment process quickly.  My Mom and I each use a program called the FTR System to build our business. It’s a contact manager and email autoresponder that we built ourselves to help increase duplication in our own team. Inside the FTR System you can create a one-page document that lists the enrollment kits and steps, and even includes photos of the kits and a direct link the enrollment page on your company website. How to Get Back on Track When You Fall Behind on Your Business Goals Have you fallen behind on your rank advancement and income goals, but not sure how to get back on track? In this episode I’m sharing my best tips for how to get refocused, re-motivated and create momentum in your business if you’re feeling behind. In each episode of the Freedom FactorI like to provide you with a powerful free resource to help you get more out of our time together. I know how frustrating and overwhelming it can feel to be behind on your goals… and I’ve found the simplest way to get past that feeling and into action is with a few simple questions that help you identify where you are now, and how to move forward QUICKLY. For every goal I’ve achieved in life and business, I can think of at least 10 I haven’t achieved… or didn’t achieve as quickly as I planned. Too many people avoid setting goals because they get hung up on, “What if I don’t reach them?” — when the attitude you should have it, “Even if I don’t hit my deadline, I know by setting this goal I will be farther along than if I just sit here.”  You won’t always hit every goal on time… but this should inspire you to set bigger, bolder goals because it means you have nothing to lose! Even if you don’t get as far as you want as quickly as you want, you still win if you move forward at all. And every win, big or small, is worth celebrating!  I talk more about my goal setting philosophy inside the episode, so Be sure to listen to the podcast for all the details.  That being said, there are a few simple strategies you can use if you’re falling behind on a goal, to help you get refocused, re-motivated and back on track ASAP. So let’s dive in: Revisit Your Why It sounds simple, but if you’re lacking motivation, focus and discipline in any goal-achieving endeavor, it almost always can be traced back to your why. A strong vision pulls you despite any excuses, obstacles or roadblocks you may encounter.  It will inspire you, motivate you, and help you brush off the negative things that happen on the road to achieving your goal. If you’re struggling with motivation, discipline or focus… revisit your why and make sure it’s rock solid. I talk more about HOW to do this inside the episode.  Take Control of Your Day As humans our default setting is to be in reactive mode. We wake up immediately reacting to the alarm clock blaring in our ear, to the demands of our calendar, our families, our boss, and the things screaming at us in our environment.  An essential part of achieving goals is to be able to move forward proactively — staying on course and taking control of your schedule, daily actions and habits.  This starts with a strong morning routine… which I talk about extensively in Episode 30.  Identify Your Action Steps When I first started setting goals in my business I would get SO fired up about the end result. I would focus on the destination, and overlook the steps required to get me there. This resulted in a lot of frustration and missed goals… because even though I had my goals written down on paper, I failed to take the actions required to achieve them.  Inside the podcast episode I break down how to identify and execute the most important action steps that will help you get the most bang for your buck — in other words, I show you how to get the MOST results with the LEAST amount of effort. How to Present Your Network Marketing Business Effectively on Social Media Are you wanting to leverage social media to present your business and products so you can get away from one or ones, home parties and coffee shop appointments? In this week’s episode I’m sharing how to present your network marketing business effectively on social media! In this guide I show you step by stepwhat to include in your business presentation so you create connection with your prospects, answer their objections before they ask them, and leave them ready to enroll in your business. You can download the scripts for free by clicking on the image above or just click here. “If your mouth is moving, your finger should be pointing.” — those are the words our mentor said to my Mom and I over a decade ago that have helped us build a multiple six-figure business that duplicates. In other words, stop trying to say everything yourself, and develop tools that will do the talking for you.  If you want to grow a huge team online, you need to learn how to present your business opportunity effectively in a way that anyone on your team can duplicate quickly and easily. The best way to do this is through a combination of video and social proof.  Years ago, before social media was very prominent, we used a recorded presentation on a one-page website, along with Yahoo Groups where our prospects could connect, build rapport and discover the culture and leadership of our team.  These days we still use a combination of video and social proof, along with the leveraged power of social media, to present our business opportunity, enroll prospects weekly, and help our team do the same. Be sure to listen to the podcast for all the details.  Stop the Messenger Vomit The biggest mistake I see people make when trying to share their business on social media is using Messenger as a platform to vomit every fact and detail about their company and products to their prospects, often before they’ve even determined if that person is interested.  Messenger can be an incredible tool for helping you grow your business. In fact, it’s where 85% of my business-building time is spent. But here’s the thing: messenger is a tool that should be used to build relationships and direct your prospect to the next step (tool) on the path to enrolling them into your business.  Messenger should be ONE of the tools you use to share your business. It should never be the only tool! Let the Tools Do the Talking Your job is to guide your prospect step-by-step through the discovery process until they arrive at the best decision for them. The best way to help your prospect reach this decision quickly is to lead them from tool to tool, giving them bite-sized pieces of info they can digest easily. The Power of Video in Presenting So what tools SHOULD you be using to present your business effectively on social media? We start with a short overview video so our prospect can quickly decide if they want to invest the time in learning more. This is not only respectful of our prospect’s time, but also ensures we don’t waste our time talking to the wrong people.  From there we quickly move into the presentation phase of the process, where we provide a series of short videos that give additional information on our company and products, our compensation plan, programs and incentives and how the business is built. How to Leverage Facebook Groups to Do the Presenting We keep each of our videos inside the pinned post of a closed Facebook group. This group is accessible by invitation only, and works really well for two main reasons:  You’re meeting your prospects in a place they are already spending a lot of time in. The average person spends 45 minutes a day on Facebook. By keeping our presentation videos in a group inside this popular social media platform, we’re making it simple for our prospects to say YES and actually watch the information without having to alter their daily routine or schedule.  You’re providing social proof and ongoing follow up. When a prospect is added to our Facebook group they instantly see  thousands of other people who are in the group doing the same thing. They recognize they aren’t the only person in the world looking at this opportunity, which plays a huge factor in their decision-making process. The additional posts, testimonials, rank advancements and promotions that are shared in this group also provide incredible social proof and ongoing follow up as the prospect researches the business and makes a decision.  Social Media can be a powerful tool to help you network, invite, present and enroll people into your business, but you have to use it effectively! I want to preface this episode with a disclaimer: there have been (many) seasons in my network marketing business over the past 10 years where I did work more than 10 hours a week. In the beginning, when I was just learning, I spent a lot of time just in TRAINING mode, but also had to schedule time for activity so I could get results quickly.  Anytime we’ve implemented new strategies, or done a 90-Day launch I’ve worked more than 10 hours — it takes longer to execute when you are learning something new, and the results you can generate by running full out for 90 days can and will pay you for years to come. That being said, it IS possible to work your business just 10 hours a week and still get results. If you’re just starting out and want to go faster, be prepared to put in more time. But if that’s all you have, I’m here to tell you it is enough. Be sure to listen to the podcast for all the details.  My Weekly Schedule I break down my full schedule inside the episode. You’ll hear I actually work more like 25-30 hours each week, but the bulk of that time goes to our Freedom Boss Babes coaching business, where I do things like this podcast, and work with our Freedom University coaching clients. As a general rule, I work my primary company 1 1/2 hours on Monday, 3 hours on Tuesday, 2 1/2 hours on Wednesday, 3 hours on Thursday and 1 hour on Friday. That’s a total of just 11 hours a week.  Now I know what you’re saying… but Jordan, you said you were going to share your TEN hour work week schedule. As you’ll hear inside the episode I spend the bulk of this time inside messenger and Facebook groups — some of that includes our Freedom Boss Babes groups, and messages relating to Freedom Boss Babes, not our primary company. It’s more efficient for me to check messenger and groups all at once rather than splitting it up… so I estimate at least 1 hour of that time every week could be shaved off if I was ONLY handling messages and groups for our primary company. Time Blocking — Working vs Producing You’ll find you have no trouble getting everything done in your network marketing business each week if you do two things: time block and produce.  First, let’s talk about time blocking: I work my business in 30 minute or 3 hour time blocks, depending on the day and what activities I’m focusing on in that time. People will tell you that you can fit your business into the “nooks and crannies” of your day… and while that may be true for some people, I’ve found I am infinitely more productive if I put time blocks on my calendar and have specific tasks listed out for each block of time. Speaking of specific tasks, be sure to tune in to the podcast episode to discover the difference between sitting down to “work on your business” vs sitting down to produce a specific result in your business. Passive Activities and Active Activities When sitting down to work my business each day I always start with the ACTIVE activities that will make me money. These income producing activities are networking, inviting, following up and enrolling. They are the lifeblood of your business, and without them you won’t have a very nice paycheck at the end of the month.  Passive activities are also important — things like creating Facebook posts and working on training or resources for your team. But here’s the thing — without the ACTIVE activities you are simply wasting your time. Do your active activities FIRST, then use what time you have left to work on the passive activities that are also important to your business. My Daily Social Media Messenger Routine to Help You Talk to Prospects and Grow Your Business Online Without Feeling Spammy Are your tired and burned out from spending hours a week on the phone with your prospects? Are you frustrated with trying to get people on the phone for follow up and 3-way calls? Have you been trying to use messenger to grow your business, but feeling down because no matter how many messages you send, you just can’t seem to get a reply?  In this week’s episode I’m giving you my daily social media messenger routine so you can start using messenger to grow your business successfully. In each episode of the Freedom Factor I like to provide you with a powerful free resource to help you get the most out of what we cover together. This week I’m providing you with my proven inviting scripts so you can stop sending those copy/paste messages that don’t work and start getting replies from people who are excited to learn more about your business and products. You can click here to download it now or click on the image above. When I got started in network marketing I spent a LOT of time on the phone. Often I would make 75-100 phone calls a day, inviting people to take a look at my business, following up on the overview or presentation, and enrolling people onto our team.  Thankfully, social media came around and now we can get results that are just as good (and often better!) without ever picking up the phone… IF we know how to use social media the right way.  The reality is, sending a bunch of copy/paste messages to the same people over and over again just won’t work to build a sustainable business. Not to mention, it’s not very professional and is a surefire way to scare people off and be labeled as “that person” on Facebook. Inside the podcast I’m sharing my proven social media messenger routine that not only works, but is professional and duplicatable, meaning you and your team can benefit for years to come. Be sure to listen to the podcast for all the details.  Step 1: Networking I get it. Hanging out in groups and sending messages to random people without mentioning your business can feel like a time waster. However, inside the podcast I share why this is where the bulk of my business-building time goes each day, and why it is one of THE most important steps to help you grow your business successfully on social media.  Each week I meet at least 25 new friends on Facebook, and send 25 messages to people on my friends list just to say “Hi”. These messages aren’t about business, they’re about relationships… and when you get past that ulterior motive of feeling like you’re out to “get” something from every conversation this can become one of the most rewarding and effective pieces of your business building routine. I share more details in the episode, so be sure to listen in. Step 2: Inviting As important as it is to network, your business won’t grow if you don’t invite people to take a look at what you have to offer. Each week I invite 14 people to take a look at my business through messenger using my proven inviting scripts. This is the lifeblood of your business, and a step you must not skip if you want to create results quickly! Step 3: Follow Up After the initial invitation I send each person a quick overview video to pique their interest and determine if they want to learn more. I then follow up on that video and direct them to the next step, which is to view our presentation videos. These are the first two steps in my prospecting funnel, and by using tools (videos) to do the explaining I take myself out of the equation and make it simple for anyone to plug in and duplicate what I’m doing.  After the presentation I follow up again and add my prospects to a 3-way message with my upline. This strategy works incredibly well because, unlike 3-way calls, you aren’t having to coordinate a ton of schedules or try to get your prospect on the phone. My Mom and I do dozens of 3-way messages a week with our team, and have found them to be THE most effective way to get people past their objection, off the fence, and into the business. Step 4: Enrollment or Ongoing Follow Up After the 3-way message I send over a link to our enrollment kits and step-by-step enrollment instructions through messenger. This simplifies the process and allows my prospect to enroll at their convenience, whether I’m available to help them or not. For this reason we often have people enrolling in our business in the middle of the night, when we’re traveling, and during holidays or weekends when we’re not working our business at all! If the prospect isn’t ready to join right away, I make sure to continue following up through messenger on a weekly basis to check in and keep them updated on any upcoming events, promotions, or product announcements. I encourage them to try the products as a customer while they wait to see if the business is a good fit for them, and even send over a link to our virtual catalog through messenger so they can become familiar with the products.  Bringing It All Together Thanks to social media you no longer have to get on the phone or waste your time with meetings and parties to grow your business. It’s possible to have a truly ‘mobile’ business using messenger along with the right tools to help you share your business and products effectively. When growing online it’s imperative that you have a step-by-step process in place for sharing your products and business with others, including a list of which videos to send and how often to follow up so your team can easily duplicate what you’re doing. Remove yourself from the equation by using videos and PDF documents anyone can share, without having to be a business or product expert, and help your team grow by being available for 3-way messages with their prospects. This mistake taught me a powerful lesson: guard your dreams above all else, for they are your most precious possession! It is vital that you find 1-3 people who you can trust with your dreams — people who get what you’re doing, why you’re doing it, and believe you can get there (even when you don’t quite believe it for yourself. Mistake to avoid? Don’t share your dreams with the “well wishers” who will belittle your dreams and call you crazy in an effort to protect you.  Treating My Business Like a Hobby As network marketers we have a part-time business, not a some-time business. One of the biggest mistakes I made that almost kept me stuck forever was treating my business like a hobby for the first few years. Rather than hold myself to a benchmark of activities (networking, inviting, presenting and enrolling) each week, I worked my business “when I had time” and “when I felt like it”, as long as “nothing else came up.” — and that behavior kept me broke and stuck in a dead-end job, with a business that was paying me less than my little brother’s weekly allowance. Listen to the full episode to hear how I turned things around and went from struggling with no success to speaking on stage at our international convention within just 15 months! Thinking I’d “Arrived” When I Wasn’t Even Close By far one of the biggest mistakes I ever made in my business was getting cocky and overly proud of myself when I had my first true taste of success. Rather than put my head down and continuing to work harder to achieve my goals, I sat back and pointed fingers at everyone but myself: my team, the company, the products, the system… and watched the success I’d created crash and burn within a matter of months.  There were several factors at play here… a brand new start-up company that was still trying to work out the kinks, a lack of a simple duplicatable system for our team, and a few other things, but the biggest problem by far was that I quit doing the things that had got me to that point in the first place.  The minute you become proud and uncoachable is the minute you stop growing as a leader. And the minute you point the finger at anyone but yourself is the minute you give away your ability to turn things around and make the necessary improvements. As a leader you are responsible for the culture, attitude and success of your organization… whether you have a team of 1, 100 or 10,000, this is always true. Since making this mistake almost a decade ago I’ve made sure to remind myself of it often, being careful to keep my focus on my own activity, lead by example and continuing to learn and look up to those who have achieved the success I’m still striving for. You can hear the full story inside the episode. Posture and Powerful Closing Questions One of the most powerful lessons you can learn as you work to grow your business is to remain unattached the outcome as you prospect. Because you will succeed with our without them.  That may sound harsh, but it’s true. Then you’ll have to persuade and convince them to take action long enough and consistently enough to get results.  Sounds like a lot of work, doesn’t it?  Instead, focus on sharing your business with 14 new people every single week. You’re looking for 3 who are willing to go through a presentation. THREE. That means 11 of those people can tell you no, and you’re still on the right track! Of those 3, expect only 1 to actually join you in business.  Understand these numbers and you will understand that some will, some won’t… and so what! NEXT! You’re looking for the people who are looking!  Share, Don’t Convince. In network marketing we are in the sharing business, not the convincing business. The minute you switch from sharing to convincing you lose all your posture, energy and excitement. You immediately give the other person the upper hand! So what do you do when you encounter someone who needs convincing? Convince them with your ACTIONS — in other words… move on! Do your thing. Stay in your lane. Do not allow their negativity to derail or delay you. Over time, as your results show up more and more, they may be interested in what you’re doing. Or maybe not. Either way, they WILL see that they were wrong… even if they never admit it.  Continue to sort through the numbers and you will find the people you get it and who are open to taking a look! Surround Yourself With Support Network Marketing can feel like a lonely business — especially when you’re first starting out. That’s why it’s so important to surround yourself with others who get what you’re doing… either in person or online! Hang out with those who have already achieved what you’re looking to achieve. And a big part of your vision can be seeing yourself as the person worthy of achieving the life you’re going after… meaning you’ll start to see yourself as that person, and begin acting as if you’re already that person! When you see yourself as confident, you become confident! Commit to Personal Development Your network marketing business will only grow as fast as you do, and I shudder to think of how small my business would still be today if it weren’t for personal development. It’s impossible to immerse yourself into personal development and NOT become more confident and courageous. Immerse yourself in books like Think and Grow Rich, You Are a Bad Ass, Maximum Achievement, The Four Agreements, The Motivation Manifesto and others. Read the same book over and over and over again until the words travel from the pages they’re written on to the very depths of your being. Read, take notes. Read again. Take more notes. Every single day spend at least 30 minutes diving into a book that helps you grow in confidence, belief and courage! Feel the Fear, Do It Anyway The fastest, most surefire way to grow your confidence is by DOING the things that scare you. Scared to go live? Go live every day for 30 days. Scared to invite someone to take a look at your business? Go on a 30-Day run and invite 200 people to take a look. Scared to follow up? That 30-Day run will help you there too. I recently heard something from Ray Higdon that really stuck with me: “You can only battle your mindset on the field, not in your head.” Wow, right?? You CANNOT, WILL NOT overcome your lack of confidence by ‘thinking’ about being more confident. The confidence comes in the doing. In the doing things right AND in the doing things wrong! I do things wrong 10x more often than I do things right… but its in failing forward that we become more confident and learn that our mistakes do not define us nor do they determine our direction. They’re simply part of the process, so get out there and DO! How Do You Choose the Right Network Marketing Company for You In this week’s podcast episode we’re going to talk about what factors you should consider when choosing a network marketing company. Whether you’re venturing into the industry for the first time, or you’ve been asking yourself, ‘Am I in the right place?’… this episode will give you clarity and confidence moving forward as you design your ideal lifestyle for you and your family. How You Got Here Most people come into network marketing for the first time because they were introduced to a product they loved by a friend or family member. Most have little to no business experience, much less any knowledge of what to look for in a network marketing company, or how to determine which of the MANY amazing companies out there is the best fit for them.  There’s a good chance you’re one of those people, and part of you may be wondering: is this the best place for me?  Just like most people don’t stay at their first straight-out-of-college job until retirement, most people don’t stay with the same network marketing company their entire career. Sometimes it can take a few for you to find the one that ‘clicks’. That being said, the network marketing leaders who make the biggest income (and impact) eventually do settle on a place to call ‘home’. You’ll never get to the top of the mountain if you change course and try another one every year or so.  Maybe you’re already ‘home’. If so, that’s amazing.  But whether you are or not, I feel you’ll still get value from this episode as it will help you honestly evaluate where you are, what you’re looking for and will allow you to understand the benefits your company offers so you can share them with others.  Can ‘Here’ Get You ‘There’?  It was around the end of 2015 that my Mom and I realized it for the final time: the company we had called ‘home’ for over 10 years in our network marketing career simply wasn’t going to get us where we wanted to go.  As much as we’d tried to make it fit… the square peg simply would not fit into a round hole. It was time to move on.  The first thing you need discover for yourself is: what do you REALLY want out of a network marketing company, and can your current company take you there?  Start by downloading the workbook to help you Discover Everything You Want in Life and Business  Then use the info in the rest of the episode to help you answer that very important question! Things to Consider  Listen to the full episode to hear my thoughts on each category. Leadership: Are there people in your current company who are at the level of success you desire? And are there new people continuing to climb the ranks each month, or is your leadership become ‘stale’?  Marketing: Does your company teach people to market their business in a way that’s congruent with the lifestyle you want to create? Are there people having success online? Are people building with meetings and home parties? And do you feel comfortable marketing your business in that same way?  Products: Are your products consumable? Be sure to listen to the podcast episode to hear my hammer and nails story!  System: Is there a simple system in place… a 1-2-3 system… that makes it easy for anyone to come in and create success quickly by simply plugging in to what the company/team/leadership has available for them to follow? It’s Not Personal, It’s Business.  By completing the exercises in the workbook, you’ll be able to easily decide what to say ‘yes’ to and what to say ‘no’ to in life and business. Either something serves you and your longterm vision, or it doesn’t… plain and simple. Most people need their network marketing business to be successful in order to realize their personal vision. Just like a fast food restaurant wouldn’t stay open if it’s not meeting the owners goals and needs, you can choose to walk away knowing that the business simply doesn’t serve you in the way you need it to. I get it… this topic may be a bit unconventional. It might ruffle some feathers. But hang in here with me and hear me out. I assure you, it’s worth your time! In fact, I think it’s the best thing to happen to ever happen to network marketing for many reasons: It makes it simple for the average person to work their business from anywhere, levels the playing field by providing the perfect environment for anyone to grow a network and audience, and makes it easier to connect with prospects and team members from all across the globe.  That being said, I believe too many network marketers are putting all their eggs in the social media basket and missing out on a HUGE marketing tool that lends of new level of professionalism and security to their business. And that tool is email.  Now before you tune me out, hear me out. I’m going to share my Top 4 Reasons Why You Should Be Using Email (in addition to social media, of course) to build your business.  You Can’t Build a House on Rented Land  Last I checked, we don’t own Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn or any other social media platform. And unless your name is Mark Zuckerberg, you have absolutely 0% control of how the two most popular social channels — Facebook and Instagram — are handled in the future.  As a network marketer, your LIST is your greatest asset. Man if only I had understood this sooner!  If you build a list you can be successful in any business, anywhere in the world, for the rest of your life. Your businesses value is in your list — and while Facebook and Instagram provide you with an excellent vehicle to grow your list by meeting people every day, you don’t own them.  Close your eyes for a moment and imagine a terrible thing: You wake up tomorrow, and Facebook and Instagram are gone.  Poof!  They no longer exist!  Would you still be in business?  If you woke up tomorrow without a friends list or Facebook group, would you be able to contact anyone who’s expressed interest in your business?  That’s why you need email! When you build an email list you OWN that list. You can download the list of names, email addresses and phone numbers and use them however you wish, forever! This provides another level of security you simply don’t get when you don’t own the platform.  Reach Matters  We can’t talk about the benefits of email without talking about the drawbacks of social media. One of those drawbacks is the reality that only 1-2% of your Facebook audience sees any given post you put out there. Ouch. That’s a low number… and, because your name isn’t Zuckerberg… it’s one you have no control over.  Email, on the other hand, reaches everyone. Even if someone isn’t checking their email today or tomorrow… that message from you will still be sitting in their Inbox when they return to check it. You can expect anywhere from 20-30% of the people on your email list to open your emails… that’s SIGNIFICANTLY higher than the 1-2% who will see your social media posts.  Direct Line of Communication  Email is more personal. It’s more intimate. It provides a direct line of communication between you and the person you’re speaking to. For this reason it’s a great way to promote content and events, share stories, specials, promotions, etc. It’s been proven that posting your link all over Facebook will get you little to no return… and that’s because 80-90% of ALL website traffic comes through links that are clicked in emails!  It’s All About the Conversions  At the end of the day, email will provide you with a higher conversion rate as well. In fact, many companies report that 90% of their revenue comes from links clicked in email. It’s more professional AND more personal. A win-win!  My Email Communication Strategy I use every social media conversation as an opportunity to get someone’s email and get them into my email communication system. Through this system I send links to videos, follow up series, and weekly communication to keep people open and engaged as they move throughout the prospecting process.  Inside my Proven Email Communication Flow Chart I break down exactly how my Mom and I (and our team!) use email to grow our businesses bigger, faster! What You Say to Yourself Matters What you say to and about yourself matters infinitely more than what you say to and about others, or what others say to and about you. [Sneak Peek] Inside Our Wildly Successful 90-Day Launch In this week’s podcast episode I’m giving you a sneak peek inside the 90-day launch we just completed for our primary company. In our first 90 days we were able to build a team of 53 people and over 150 customers using the same proven strategies we teach every single day. There was nothing fancy or complicated about it – it’s simply about plugging into a proven formula and being consistent to create the results you want.  In each episode of the Freedom Factor I like to provide you with a powerful free resource to help you get more out of our time together. This blueprint is a step-by-step guide of the same actions we took to build a team of 53 people and do over 30,000 in sales volume in our first 90 days. My Mom and I do not consider ourselves to be prolific recruiters or network marketing super stars… what we are proud of though is our ability to take something that so many people overcomplicate and make it simple.  In the first 90 days at our new company we were able to create very powerful results following the same simple strategies we share with you every day. What does that mean for you? You can easily go out and create the same results in your own business if you’re willing to jump in, do the work and remain consistent.  While you’ll get a few tips from reading this article, you’ll learn the most by listening to the podcast episode and downloading our Proven 90-Day Launch Blueprint. So schedule some time to listen in and take some notes! Success Loves Speed Back in 2011 my Mom and I had the opportunity to partner up and work with Eric Worre for a couple of years. We learned a lot of things during that journey, but one of the things that sticks out the most is Success Loves Speed. A successful 90-Day launch is not about doing anything different… it’s simply about doing MORE. More networking. More inviting. More follow-up. And, as a result… More enrolling.  25-14-3-1 Hang around us for very long and you’ll quickly learn… we repeat this formula frequently and loudly. Why? Because it’s proven to work… regardless of what company you’re with, whether you’re building ‘old school’ or online, whether you live in a big city or a small town, whether you’re brand new, or have been around for years.  If you want to create success in your business, you must commit to meeting and building relationships with 25 new people every week. You must commit to consistently invite 14 people who know, like and trust you to take a look at your BUSINESS every week, which will help you find 3 people each week who watch your company’s presentation. Get 3 people in front of a presentation, and you can expect to enroll at least one if you follow up with them properly.  It’s Not a Secret, It’s a Numbers Game In our 90-day launch we invited 315 people to take a look at our business. 127 of those watched our company’s presentation, and 25 have decided to partner with us by enrolling in our business. 13 people who watched our presentation decided the business would not be a good fit for them right now, but loved the products and became a customer. From there, we plugged each person into the duplicatable system we have for our team, which… by the end of our first 90 days…. had grown to 53 people.  Even if you’re NOT a numbers person, try to hang in here with me for one minute:  By using our 14 => 3 => 1 formula, you’ll find only 21% of the people you invite to take a look at your business will watch the presentation.  Only 7% of the people you invite to take a look will actually enroll as a business builder.  You’ll see our number from our 90-Day launch are very similar to this formula:  40% of the people we invited to take a look made it to our presentation.  Even so, 7.6% made the decision to partner with us as business builders.  Now you may be wondering why our presentation numbers were higher. 40% is quite a bit more than 40%. I don’t know, but I believe there are a number of factors at play here.  First, since my Mom and I have Freedom Boss Babes, a lot of people likely wanted to see what we were up to and how we do things, even though they weren’t super interested in partnering with our company.  One thing we did notice though, is our team is having a much higher percentage of people watch the presentation as well. We attribute it to the 3 minute video step, which introduces people to the business incrementally and piques their curiosity, and also the fact that we keep our presentation in a Facebook group, which makes people more comfortable since we’re already communicating on Facebook anyway.  Feel free to try those strategies in your own business, and track your results! Even though we led with the business, along the way we also found 13 people who decided to become customers of our products.  So as you can see, it’s not a secret… it’s simply a numbers game! Tips for Success  Launch Videos — When someone joins our team, we teach them to launch their business using 3 Facebook Live videos over the course of their first week in business. We did this as well, which is where we got many of the initial leads we invited to take a look. In the videos, share why you made the decision, what your company is all about, and some of the incredible results you or others have experienced. For best results, don’t mention your company or product name!  3-Part Formula — For years we’ve used a 3-part fomula to grow our team, which I believe significantly helps with our percentages. By using a combination of social media (posting the RIGHT way), personal reach outs (conversations!!) and email (professional touch points!) you are exposing your prospects to your business and products multiple ways.  Contact Manager — There’s no way to keep track of 327 invitations and 89 presentations without a contact manager that organizes your prospecting efforts. We use our contact manager to track where each person is in the prospecting process, which emails and videos they’ve watched, and when we need to follow up. Virtual Facebook Events — In our 3rd month we decided to have a 2-week, team-wide virtual Facebook event to help gain even more momentum in our business. This event took place in a closed Facebook group where my Mom and I, our upline and our downline came in to share their stories about the products and business. This is something we plan to repeat in our business monthly to help our team close out the month strong. True Story: Social media is hurting more network marketers than it’s helping.  It’s a sad but true fact… too many network marketers are being taught to use social media the WRONG way. After being with the same network marketing company for over a decade, when I partnered with a new company in 2015 I wanted to be coachable. That included being coachable to how this company was using social media, but unfortunately they were doing it all wrong.  Within just a few weeks of implementing what was taught by our upline my engagement dropped to almost 0. I had friends and family members unfriending me left and right. People started avoiding me in social media AND in real life. If you’ve ever wondered how you can learn to stand out in a sea of other consultants, this episode is for you.  First Thing’s First…  I purposely avoided putting this word in the title of the episode because I didn’t want to send you running before we even got started. Are you ready for it? The word is BRANDING. The way you set yourself apart on social media and stand out from all the other people who are selling the same thing you are is by learning to brand yourself. Plain and simple.  Now don’t you go running off yet.  Branding probably doesn’t mean what you think it means!  When most people hear the word “branding” they immediately start thinking they need a logo, and a color palette, and maybe even a blog or a fancy YouTube channel. And while yes, those things can be part of your “brand”… it’s certainly not as complicated as all that.  Branding simply means: A feature that distinguishes an organization from it’s rivals in the eyes of its customers.  In other words: branding helps you stand out.  If you want to learn how to set yourself apart on Social Media you have to accept that branding is the answer. It’s not a matter of opinion… it’s just the way it is! You will never stand out in a noisy social world by following the crowd and marketing your product and company the same way everyone else is.  Most people don’t brand themselves… they brand the company’s they represent! And what a mistake that is. I can say that with confidence because I used to be the same way… until I learned how much better my results would be if I STOPPED shouting my company’s name and products all over the internet and focused on become a source of VALUE to my audience instead.  Let’s dive in to what that means…  Choosing Your Brand Direction  As network marketing professionals we have the option to brand ourselves in one of two ways: product or business.  Inside the social media celebrity roadmap I help you discover which one of these paths is right for you. There isn’t a wrong or right answer here… you can be just as successful with either focus, but you need to choose one.  I discuss this more inside the podcast episode… but here’s the thing: once you choose your brand direction, your primary focus should be to become the “go to” person for your audience in that arena!  Listen to the episode for more insight on this. Value, Value, Value Too many people turn their social media channels into informercials… which not only turns your audience off, but actually sends them running for the hills.  Instead, to set yourself apart on social media learn how to become a source of value for your audience in your chosen niche.  (Download the Social Celebrity Roadmap to learn more about this.) When it comes to branding, this is where the rubber hits the road. Branding yourself can be as simple as creating a solid social media strategy that trains your audience to come to you when they think of __________ (fill in the blank with your chosen niche: health and wellness, jewelry, healthy living, clean living, network marketing, financial freedom, becoming debt free, etc, etc, etc.)  I want to help you craft your social media strategy, but it all starts with understanding the importance of branding and choosing your brand direction. You can grab my free Miracle Morning Routine by clicking on the image above, or just click here.   Why Your Morning Routine is a Waste of Time When I heard ^^ those words on James Wedmore’s Mind Your Business Podcast a few weeks ago, I knew I needed to listen up so I could understand exactly what he was talking about.  Not only had I heard James talk about the importance of a morning routine, but virtually every leader I know (across all industries!) practices some kind of positive morning routine, and teaches their team and clients to do the same. My Mom and I believe in the power of a morning routine SO MUCH that we not only practice it daily ourselves, but teach it to our team and coaching clients as an non-negotiable first step in your daily routine if you want to create success.  Inside the podcast episode I share exactly what James meant when he said your morning routine is a waste of time — along with why I believe this statement is so profound, and 100% correct. How to Elevate Your Mindset (and keep it there ALL DAY)  Without a doubt, your morning routine is the perfect solution for elevating your mindset at the beginning of every day. That’s why I practice a positive morning routine daily, and put together my Miracle Morning Routine Template to help you do the same.  The problem though, is we don’t have the strategies in place to KEEP our mindset elevated throughout the day — meaning within just a matter of hours, we’ve slipped back into the old thought patterns, fears, doubts and beliefs that keep us stuck.  I’ve found there is a set routine that, when practiced daily, allows me to keep an elevated mindset not only in the morning, but throughout the entire day. This routine has a profound impact not only on my business, but in all areas of my life.  Morning Routine: Begin each day with a positive and inspirational morning routine to put you in an elevated state of thinking that leaves you inspired and motivated to take action. By spending time each morning focusing on your goals, affirming and visualizing your success, diving into personal development and practicing gratitude, you’re guaranteeing a strong start to the day, every day.  Don’t forget to download my Miracle Morning Routine Template to help you craft your own positive and productive morning routine.  Work Day Start-Up and Wind-Down Rituals  Ideally, we complete our morning routine just in time to transition seamlessly into the first part of our business work-day. But what if your schedule doesn’t work out so smoothly?  As network marketers, most of us begin our business journey on a very part-time basis. This means that after our positive, inspiring morning routine we often launch immediately into the demands of the day: taking care of your family, driving kids to school, commuting to your day job, etc.  By the time we DO get back to our business, the elevated mindset we cultivated during our morning routine is all but gone. So really, what’s the point?  That’s why it’s SO important to punctuate the beginning and the end of your BUSINESS work day with a positive start-up and wind-down ritual to help you re-capture that mindset you cultivated in the morning. Start your business-building time block by spending 2-3 minutes reviewing your goals, affirmations or vision. Whichever element is MOST powerful for you, this is what you want to review AGAIN as you move into the business-building part of your day. I discuss this more inside the podcast episode, so be sure to tune in! To wind down your business-building time block, take out a spiral notebook and jot down:  What did you do well (celebrate your wins, no matter how big or small!) What could you do better (always be striving for improvement) What’s ONE thing you’re grateful for in your business Ending your business-building time blocks this way each day help you not only start on a positive and inspired note, but also END on one… celebrating your wins while remaining conscious of how you can improve!  Water and Movement  My Mom shared an article with me recently entitled, Sitting is the New Smoking. Talk about an eye opener!! It’s no secret, as technology increases, so does our time sitting on our butts. One of the best ways to elevate your mindset, get a change of perspective and re-energize yourself is by implementing MOVEMENT into your daily routine.  Set a timer, and at least once an hour, get up and walk around. Set a goal for a minimum of 7500 steps every day… and 10,000 is even better!  Water also helps us maintain our energy throughout the day. So much of our mindset is tied to our physical energy… so by feeding your body with water (rather than sugary or caffeinated drinks) you’re taking a big step in the right direction.  Here’s the water bottle I use to make sure I’m drinking my 64 ounces of water daily.  Mid-Day Unplug  One of the things James Wedmore shared in his podcast is the importance of finding a way to unplug and recharge in the middle of your day. This can be during your lunch hour, right after work, or even mid-afternoon — find a time that fits your schedule where you can spend some unplugged time recharging your batteries.  If you’re working a full-time job and don’t have a lot of time, this may be something as simple as taking a walk around the block, reading a few pages of a good book, or getting in a quick exercise session.  As your business grows and you have MORE time, commit to expanding this unplugged time as well. I try to take a couple of hours at least 3 days a week to go ride my horse in the middle of the day. James Wedmore takes time each afternoon to go to the beach and surf!  The important thing is to walk AWAY from the screen (big and small) and do something just for you!  Evening Routine Your morning routine sets the tone for your day, and your evening routine puts a punctuation mark on it.  I’ve found that, without a set evening routine, I fall asleep thinking about all the things that have happened that day and end up having a hard time falling asleep, and then sleeping restlessly throughout the night.  Develop a routine that signals to your body and mind, “This day is over.” Let go of whatever happened that day… good or bad… and get ready to rest, recharge and prepare yourself to embrace the new day tomorrow.  Inside the podcast episode I share my favorite evening routine strategies!  Bringing It All Together Elevating your mindset and taking care of yourself as an entrepreneur begins with a positive morning routine… but it can’t end there!  Use the template I created to help you craft your own personalized, productive and inspiring morning routine… then use the strategies I shared in this episode to harness that feeling and maintain it throughout every day.  Commit to trying this consistently for 30 days, and you’ll be amazed at how much more positive, inspired, productive and efficient you are… not only in your business, but in ALL areas of your life! How to Use Facebook to Get More People to Watch Your Network Marketing Presentation Do you struggle getting prospects to watch your company’s presentation? The Proven Network Marketing Success Formula  Those of you who follow our training probably get tired of hearing this. Sorry… Not Sorry. It’s THAT important!  In network marketing, the proven formula for success is 14 => 3 = 1.  Invite 14 people who know, like and trust you to take a look at your business. Expect 3 of the 14 to watch a presentation. Over time, expect 1 of the 3 to partner with you in business.  Along the way you’ll find lots of people who don’t want to join you in business, but who are happy to become your customer!  If you aren’t enrolling as many people as you want, the first place you should look is at your invitations. Old School Presentation Strategies (That Still Work!) In the podcast episode I share several ‘old school’ presentation strategies that still work very well: In-Home Presentations, Hotel Meetings, Coffee Shop Appointments…. just to name a few. As someone who’s tried them all, I’ll say this one thing though: online presentations are BY FAR my favorite method for delivering a quality presentation to my prospects. I’ll share more of why that is in just a little bit. A Better Way to Deliver Your Presentation While the old school strategies DO work, I’ve personally found that using Facebook as a vehicle for delivery your company presentation is a much better way to go.  I do this using private Facebook groups to share both my company AND product presentations with interested prospects. Not only is this method extremely duplicatable, but it also provides an incredible amount of social proof and delivers a TON of value to your prospects. I talk all about this in Episode 27 of the Freedom Factor Podcast, and even provide a free resource to help you put together a presentation your prospects will LOVE.  If you don’t yet have a Facebook group you’re using build your business and deliver your presentation, you definitely want to check out this episode to learn why this strategy is so powerful. Getting Eyeballs to Your Presentation on Facebook You can have the most value-packed Facebook group in the world, and it doesn’t matter if no one sees it!  Like I said earlier, this starts with inviting. So make sure you download my Proven Inviting Scripts to help you with this step.  But if you’re wondering what to do with a person after they say ‘Yes’ — then this step-by-step process will help you a ton:  Step 1: Mary Agrees to Learn More About Your Company “Awesome, the first step is to watch a quick 3 minute video to get an overview of the company and how it works. If that piques your interest, then we can move on to the next step where you can learn more. What’s the best email address for me to send that to?”  Step 2: Schedule the Follow Up After Mary gives you her email address, say: “Awesome! I’ll send that over to you, but first… it will take about 3 minutes for you to watch the video. When do you think you’ll have a chance to watch it?”  (Schedule your follow up for later that day or the following day by saying: “Great! I’ll touch base with you again here tomorrow morning.”)  Step 3: Mary Wants to Learn More After Watching the Overview Video “Hey Mary! So what did you think about the video? Are you ready to learn more?”  (yes)  “The next step is for me to add you to a couple of Facebook groups where you can learn more. I’ll go ahead and add you there, and tag you in a couple of posts. It’ll take about _____ for you to go over the info. When do you think you’ll have time to look that over?” Then add Mary to your Facebook group and tag her in the presentation post!  You can hear me talk through this script, and hear additional insights of WHY this is so effective in the podcast episode. Why This Strategy Works So Well There are very specific reasons why this step-by-step system works so well:  First, it pre-qualifies your prospects and leaves them wanting more.  Second, it keeps things congruent (you met on Facebook, invited them on Facebook, so why not do the presenting on Facebook!) How to Design Your Ideal Week as a Network Marketing Professional Do you ever struggle to juggle ALL the things you need to get done in your network marketing business? The 3 Things You Need to Make Time for In Your Network Marketing Business Each Week As a network marketing professional, you need to schedule time each week in 3 key areas: Active Prospecting, Attraction Prospecting and Team Building.  I break down each of these categories in the podcast episode (minute 07:45) — but a quick summary, here’s how you can define each one:  Active Prospecting: The active prospecting activities that make you money in your business such as growing your network, inviting, presenting, following up and enrolling.  Attraction Prospecting: The activities you take on social media to build your own brand and create an audience of people who reach out to you to learn more about your business. This strategy is ESSENTIAL and absolutely needs to be included in your routine to help you create more success longterm. **IT CANNOT and SHOULD NOT replace Active Prospecting though!! Team Building: Working with your growing team and providing the resources for fast start and ongoing training (don’t forget to leverage your upline and the tools they offer here!), making time for 3-way messages and 3-way calls, and coaching. How Much Time Do You Need to Work Your Network Marketing Business? The short answer? 10-15 hours per week. Get the full breakdown in the podcast episode (minute 14:08).  How Should You Structure Your 10-15 Hours Each Week for Best Results? I learned an awesome strategy from a man by the name of Michael Hyatt when I invested in his Full Focus Planner.  In the planner, Michael talks about the importance of creating time to work your business in 3 key areas:  On Stage Back Stage Off Stage Your ‘On Stage’ time is where you make your money. These are your income producing activities, which I break down in more detail in the podcast episode and in the Ideal Week Workbook. As a network marketing professional, you need to be spending 80% of your 10-15 hours each week in this category. Your ‘Back Stage’ time is the time spent PREPARING to be on stage. This includes preparing training and content, scheduling social media posts and your own personal and professional development. You need to be spending 20% of the 10-15 hours you spend working your network marketing business each week back stage.  Just as important as knowing when you’ll ALWAYS work your business (on stage and back stage time), you must also know when you will NEVER work your business. This prevents burn out, and helps you learn how to build a network marketing business you’re proud of while still maintaining (and improving) on the lifestyle you want to live.  In the Ideal Week Workbook I help you break down each of these categories so you can schedule time for each one, no matter how busy your life is each week.  Putting It All Together My challenge to you is to download the ideal week workbook and spend some time discovering and designing your ideal week.
