The overcrowding issue is caused mainly by the high rates of drug-related convictions. It caused numerous problems ranging from cramped space, poor sanitation, poor air circulation, and a lack of nutritious food intake, leading to riots. We can only imagine how it adds up with the pandemic we’re facing.
