Well ladies and gents, looks like this season didn’t end quite the way we hoped, but it’s one we can certainly take some positive things from. But the real question of what this season means in the long run has yet to be written. And that is the theme of this episode: unwritten. In this episode we’ll cover the following:
Quick tournament recap
Where does this season stack up in recent Nova history (and does it matter)?
What are some of the big questions we have to answer moving forward?
How should we view the current status of the Big East?
A big thank you to Eric and Phil
Just because the season is over does’ mean that the podcast is! We’ll be back in a couple weeks with our annual recap awards show known as “The Forties”, and we’ll be coming to you all summer long as well, so stay tuned!
@thefull40
Big East Champs and the 6 seed in the South!!! We cover a lot of ground on this fast-moving, breakneck paced podcast!
In the first half - we break down the Big East Tournament Championship. WE RECORDED THIS PRIOR TO THE SELECTION SHOW.
At 26:50, we take a break to discuss Nova Insider's bracket challenge.
After the break at 28:20, we recap the Selection Show results and our draw!
GO CATS!!!
Ok Ladies and Gents,
It's mid-march, which means another Villanova Big East regular season title, and preparation for another big east tournament! Yeah, so this week's game didn't go as hoped, but we take a title no matter how it comes to us.
In this episode, we'll cover: - Reactions from the SHU game - Looking ahead for the Big East Conference (yes, we're already talking about 2019-20) - Big East Awards - Saddiq Bey: Future NBA lottery pick - Big East tourney primer - Hart Monitor aka Ryan Arcidiacono appreciation time
Hope you guys enjoy the postseason - as always, hit us up on IG / twitter: @thefull40
The calendar flips to March. We are all of a sudden winning again. And now we're in 1st again. Collin remembered how to shoot. Jermaine remembered that he's allowed to play offense. Phil Booth remembered his legs. Jeez.
Before the break, we cover the week that was and the week to come.
After the break, we do a #HartMonitor segment and then discuss the Big East and the conference's NCAA prospects.
Well, that's not exactly how we thought this week would go. Luckily, we have a great interview with Nova grad Walter Smith-Randolph (A&S 2009) to help bring us out of the depression that is three straight losses!
In this episode, we'll cover:
- Reactions to Rob's Cincy visit
- Game talk
- How you should think about this season as a fan
- Special guest: Walter Smith-Randolph
As always, hit us up on twitter and IG: @thefull40
We're back after a ROUGH loss at MSG to St. John's.
We do show a fair amount of perspective. But we almost called this "The Angry Podcast". We're mad. Understandably so.
In a very real and raw podcast, we walk through the game and everything that went wrong, including the rotations, that led to the loss and why there are legitimate complaints this season, even with the perspective of being 20-6, en route to another NCAA bid, and a legitimate chance to make the Sweet 16.
Check it out, and look out next week for our coming interview with Walter Smith-Randolph (VU '09) a TV news journalist living and working in Cincinnati.
Ladies and gents,
We're back again, and this episode means that The Full 40 is officially one year old. Yes, we've been making stuff up and consuming too much alcohol for our own good for a whole year now. In other news, Villanova played a couple games this week, and some other stuff happened too. In this episode we'll cover: - NCAA mid season bracket reveal (yeah we didn't make it, but who needs a top 4 seed anyway) - Recap from the games this week (hint: lots of love for Jermaine "Windex" Samuels and his rediscovered three point shot) - Alpha dogs of the week - A quick retrospective on our first year podcasting
As always, hit us up on IG / twitter: @thefull40
Thanks for a great first year - here's to many more!
We're back with a new episode of The Full 40, and WE ARE HERE FOR C30LLIN GILLESP3
Collin joins ALPHA DOG STATUS - ARF, ARF and we discuss his 3 point shooting expertise and his sophomore season, which is quickly becoming comparable with some real Villanova Greats.
We also discuss Jermaine Windex Samuels job on the glass.
After the break, we get into our trip to Philly, Rob's hatred of Crabfries and my thoughts on Cheesesteaks.
Oh and we also discuss the upcoming Marquette Game.
GO CATS!
Ladies and gents,
We're late, but we promise, it's well worth the wait. Eh, maybe. Maybe not. You decide.
Anyway, another week, another two wins. #14 in the polls? Yeah, we'll take it.
In this episode, we'll cover: - Reactions from another nice week - Return of the alpha dogs - arf arf - The hot mess that is the big east - Looking ahead to the coming games - A (now racing) Hart monitor
We're back next week at our regularly scheduled time, with a drop late on Sunday, so be on the lookout! As always, feel free to hit us up on IG / twitter: @TheFull40

As always, hit us up on twitter and IG: @thefull40

The Full 40 with Chris and Rob brought to you by Nova Insider.
Looks like a holiday tournament is just what this team needed! Chris and I are reunited in person, reducing our editing time and increasing our output quality, just like the Cats.
In this episode, we'll cover:
- Reactions from the weekend
- The continued case of the mystery point guard
- Looking ahead to La Salle
- The Hart Monitor (all hail, the great Arch)
- Big East look ahead (spoiler, still not great, but maybe not a dumpster fire)
As always, check us out on twitter / IG, etc: @thefull40
It's the overdue Thanksgiving episode! We spend the first half of the podcast giving thanks despite the rough start and after a word from Nova Insider we get back to it and discuss playing time for the freshmen, especially Jahvon Quinerly, and whip around the team to discuss what exactly is going on.
As a heads up, the episode was recorded on Wednesday, November 21st - prior to the Orlando Advocare Invitational Turkey Tournament - but many of the points hold regardless.
We'll be back after the Turkey Tourneys and before Big 5 play kicks in vs La Salle on December 1st.
