Nick Brown was first elected to the SRP Board of Directors in 2016 and is running to be re-elected to the Board. He has developed and managed energy projects since the 1980s, when he worked at the Arkansas Department of Energy. Nick has installed wind and solar energy systems, and has managed environmental, health and safety programs at gas-fired power plants and at a major university. A native of Arkansas, he moved to the Valley of the Sun in 2011 where he was the director of sustainability practices at ASU from 2011 through 2014. Nick is committed to providing affordable, clean, dependable energy to SRP customers; a strong renewable energy portfolio; and maintaining a secure energy grid for SRP’s power delivery during emergencies. He lives in the McDowell Corridor of Scottsdale, and is an avid road cyclist.
