This week is utterly exciting and it’s slightly different from our normal business type podcast. It’s the uplifting conversation that we all need to hear, it’s the laughter we are all missing from our lives in this current climate.I speak to Reverend Gail M. Love-Schock, InterFaith Minister, Enneagram Expert, Human Behaviour specialist, and lover of magick and mysteries. Our conversation was just so magical, had me thinking for days and I just know, it’ll impact you in profound ways.hero/heroine - coined the term - Joseph CampbellEnneagramKatie BrockhurstIn and outBody as a temple - basically people need to spend time with me to explore this....*cheeky.What is disturbing your peace? This is a personal enquiry, a meditation to sit with. What keeps me from peace? How do I move closer to peace? Breathe.Death Cafe30-minute challenge - I'd term this as 30 minute invitation. Sit with yourself, just you. No book, phone, mantra, simply sit as you, with you every day. Allow what you're feeling to be felt. All states pass. Allow yourself to move closer to peace. This is a daily practice.Unlock the power of your full heartIf you want to connect with Gail:WebsiteConnect with your host, Jette VirdiWebsiteInstagramPodcastHustle Boldly Conference
Speaking to Alison is so intoxicating - she is just so passionate about helping future generations learn and grow and it’s been great to speak to the first social enterprise business on the show! We talked everything from motherhood, tarot, being in your flow and so much more and I know you’ll get so much out of this episode. Inspired by my local heritage of singer factory I took my design degree and began building Frill Factory CIC in 2016 with a mission to educate & empower young women in my local area of West Dunbartonshire, Glasgow.Alongside my passion to work with young women, I began innovating products using a textile landfill in partnership with charities which then grew into installation pieces & consequently a strong concept of FRILLS<<.Determined to not rely on funding and become a sustainable enterprise I pitched for seed funding which helped me build props & buy in furniture stock, which I was then able to hire out to the event & wedding sector and generate revenue.3 years on we have a stock range of products we hire out across Scotland and an apprentice who is helping us build our apprenticeship scheme.  We are on a mission to form one of Scotland's first young women workforce, over the next 3 years, who manufacture for the industry.  Please do connect with us on Instagram and twitter using the hashtag #thefutureisfemalepodcast and don’t forget to rate and review the show! This helps other female founders to find us.If you want to read more on the issues, young women, in my area face within west Dunbartonshire and a huge reason for my focus of empowerment please read my LinkedIn article here https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/building-emotional-intelligence-our-young-people-alison-bell/If you want to connect with Alison:www.instagram.com/frillfactorywww.frillfactory.co.ukConnect with your host, Jette VirdiWebsiteInstagramPodcastHustle Boldly Conference
This week I talk to the amazing Daisy from City Survivor! It was such a pleasure chatting and hearing Daisy’s journey into her side hustle. I love her journey from working for a supplements company to realising she could do it much better and has!Daisy's been a Nutritional Therapist for 10 years and spent a lot of that time working with independent health stores. Knowing that the world of supplements is bewildering to the uninitiated, Daisy founded City Survivor to offer a simple to understand, high-quality range of products that target the main challenges of hectic modern life. The City Survivor blog is about nutrition and lifestyle for normal people - it's a green-smoothie-recipe free zone!Rivers' Remedies is a lovely shop supporting independent UK brands:www.rivers-remedies.co.uk | 19 Lower Marsh, London SE1 7RJInstagram training from Sam at smallandmighty.co - I did a course in person, they are available online now though.Learn about managing your own PR - how to contact journalists - with https://prdispatch.com/Nutritional Therapy at CNM London https://www.naturopathy-uk.com/   And to get your 20% discount especially for the podcast crew! What a treat it was for me to get to chat with the unbelievably warm and funny Sarah. I instantly just wanted to steal her away and make her my friend! She’s had an amazing journey and I’m also excited to tell you that she will be doing a takeover on the Hustle Boldly Conference page so make sure you go and check that out!Cub & Pudding was founded by Sarah Birchall —  a frustrated City PA pondering how her maternity cover pitstop had turned into a 9-year corporate comfort ride. Once a Features Writer who had jumped ship from magazine life after redundancy, it became more and more apparent there was a vast creative hole missing from her life post-kids. At a loss of what to do next, a chance meeting with a life coach spurred her to start her own kidswear range. It had always been second nature to dress her two kids in bold and quirky ways. But sourcing cool wares for her son past toddler-age got trickier when it all turned navy/brown/digger/dinosaur and there was an obvious link to what she was seeking and fulfilling that for her own kids and others. So began Cub & Pudding (the nicknames of her kids’ baby bumps). The brand launched in April 2019 offering unisex wares for ages 0-8years with prints hand-drawn by Sarah, inspired by her of illustration and a lifelong passion for books. The collections are designed at home in SE London and produced in a female-run factory in Portugal. Resources:Life coach - https://caroline-britton.com/This is the design course - https://www.arts.ac.uk/subjects/fashion-design/short-courses/fashion-design/childrenswear-design-online-short-course-csmIllustration one - https://www.houseofillustration.org.uk/learn/short-coursesJen's books!
