The “GOLD” IODP Project aims to study Global Climate Changes, Extreme Events, Margins formation, Sea-level changes, Natural Ressources and the limits of Life in the Gulf of Lion with dedicated drilling Platform (MSP, Joides and Chikyu). It should be emphasized that no drillings dealing with pre-5million year exist in the Mediterranean Sea.
