When John Taffin coined the phrase "Perfect Packin’ Pistol," or PPP as it has come to be known by many readers, he originally defined it as a double-action or single-action sixgun with a barrel length of 4″ to 5 1/2″. It could be chambered in a cartridge capable of handling any situation. This means a PPP could be chambered in anything from .22 up to one of the various .500s, depending upon one’s environment. Relatively broad, right? In this episode, Roy Huntington joins host Brent T. Wheat to give his thoughts on what is — and what isn't — a Perfect Packin' Pistol. -- Have a topic idea or guest you’d like to see in a future episode? nice episode. glad Roy slipped in hard chrome and talked about the bake on's. Also Robar finishes like NP3. was hoping to hear some older classics like Walter Birdsong Black T. Ripe for a 2nd chapter.
Nice article and discussion on the podcast guys! I think Bob Baker said it best. FA doesn't build their guns to meet a certain price point. they build the best gun they can and then set the price based on the cost of that end product. nuf said.
