Missing a sickieBud, Kirsten & Pol geek out about cowboys, melty faces, and immobile writers, then have a giggle or a ”woo!” or an, ”aw, you thought of me!” to Zoner Ewan’s e-mails. Coming Soon 07:44 – The Rescue (in theatres January 29) 10:19 – Clayface (in theaters October 23) 12:53 – Paper Tiger (Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, Miles Teller, in theatres November 13) 14:34 – Day Drinker (in theatres March 26) 16:47 – Verity (Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson, and Josh Hartnett, theaters October 2) 19:38 – something something Gremlins (October 6, 2028 or June 10, 2028. it said 10.6.28, so WHO KNOWS?) 22:38 – The actors behind C-3PO and R2-D2 reportedly hated each other More Star Wars news but it’s RUMOURS and HEARSAY 25:36 – Far From Home/No Way Home director Jon Watts to direct new Star Wars movie (source: Gizmodo) Geek News Proper 29:28 – Freddy loves cinema!, and the Academy Museum horror exhibition (September 26, 2026–July 25, 2027, in Los Angeles) 30:13 – Al’s Brain in 3D (Bud couldn’t get it to work on desktop, but on his phone, it works with anaglyph [red/blue] 3D glasses, with a phone-sized VR headset, or by crossing your eyes!) 31:21 – Elizabeth Holmes / Theranos / You Can See Everything: halfway house / ”graphic nudity?” Listener mailbag ([email protected]) 35:53 – Zoner Ewan: Zach Braff wanted to direct Wonder Man S2 before… Reviews and Recommendayshes 43:53 – Forgotten Island (Bryan) I guess, sure…maybe I’m racially biased though? Definitely a lot of Filipino Leo pointing. But as fair of a review as I can give it: the animation was fantastic and the story had a lot of heart. I don’t know if I’d call it my favourite animated film, but it was definitely worth the watch. 45:05 – Avengers: Endgame (Encore) (Bryan) 100% one you can either read about or look for clips online and not have to buy a ticket. But it was pretty cool seeing Endgame on the big screen again. They changed absolutely nothing with the main movie, which is good (but I kinda wish I knew that going it because I needed to pee halfway through but was scared I’d miss an added scene). The additional footage came right at the end (four, to be exact). I enjoyed them (I think I enjoyed the third one most). But if you wanna know about those, they’re pretty much all over the internet.
