The God Minute

The God Minute is a short, daily Christian prayer that includes peaceful music, scripture and a reflection to bless your day with the Lord. It's only 10 minutes. Take a few God Minutes each morning and see how your day rises in abundance. A Catholic devotional by the Congregation of the Mission - the Vincentians.

REFLECTIONSr. Carol (on the feast of St. Louise de Marillac)MUSICWhere Charity and Love Prevail by ELW 359NOTESLouise de Marillac — wife, mother, teacher, nurse, social worker, religious foundress, model for all women of the 21st century and Saint for our day — is captured in her “Mosaic Life” story.  As we celebrated the 364th anniversary of her death on March 15, originally her feast day, (now on May 9, moved so it does not fall in Lent), let her speak to your life today.Published on FAMVIN athttps://vinformation.org/en/vincentian-formation-resources/presentations-media-games/mosaic-life-of-st-louise/

5th Sunday Easter- John Michael Talbot

Our special guest this Sunday offering a reflection on the gospel is John Michael Talbot. The Vine and the BranchesJohn 15: 1-8“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.5 “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.

Wow...I appreciate the simple presentation of the truth and humble attitude of the prayers and teaching. Even though I'm a Protestant (Holy Spirit-filled Charismatic no less!) I genuinely enjoy what each part of the Body of Christ supplies to the whole.
