Last weekend (February 22 and 23), I completed the Gasparilla Distance Classic Michelob Ultra Challenge in Tampa, Florida. It entailed racing a 15K (9.3 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) on Saturday; a half marathon (13.1 miles) and an 8K (4.97 miles) on Sunday. I not only completed the challenge, but won it overall out of 386 finishers! I discuss each race and my overall experience of race weekend in Tampa. Later I talk about many of the world records that have occurred in Track & Field and on the roads over the past month. Jake and I discussed the Major League Baseball playoff races in the American League and National League. With 12 games left in the season, it should be an exciting chase to the finish for teams fighting for playoff spots such as the Brewers, Phillies and Padres. We also gave some tentative playoff predictions based on how the standings look now as of the morning of Friday, September 23th.
Jake Egloff and I discuss the upcoming Green Bay Packers football season. We go through the Packers schedule and predict the games. Jake discusses transactions the Packers made this off-season. I discussed the Packers draft selections from this years' draft. Then, we discussed players to watch on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball.
Jake and I discussed major trades made at the MLB trade deadline with a focus on the deals the Milwaukee Brewers made. We also discussed a couple rumored players the Brewers went after and we talked about some of their prospects that could be called up in September.
