The Grape Nation is your weekly wine journey…where, we will enlighten, inspire, and motivate the listener to enjoy and drink more wine. WE BRING WINE TO THE PEOPLE! The show will take a straightforward; “un-snobby” approach to wine through usable information and guest experts in their field. Each week we will delve into a relevant wine topic, speak with a wine notable, and ask our guest to answer our weekly “Wine List”. We will taste, and discuss a different wine on-air each week and invite our listeners to taste with us. Our listeners will be kept up to date with the best wine happenings with our weekly event calendar.

Born to a French wine family in Morocco, Genevieve Janssens studied under the best wine minds in France. She made her way to Napa in 1978 to work for Robert Mondavi, spent a few years consulting, and returned to Mondavi’s Opus One in 1989. Genevieve returned to Robert Mondavi Winery as Director of Winemaking in 1997. Over two decades later Genevieve still oversees wine as the chief winemaker. Victor Urrutia is the CEO of Compania Vinicola del Norte de Espana also known as CVNE or CUNE. He is fifth generation and only the seventh person to run this family business. Isabelle Legeron is a Master of Wine, consultant, contributing journalist, and author of the seminal book on natural wine, “Natural Wine, An Introduction to Organic and Biodynamic Wines Made Naturally”.Isabelle is the founder and creator of Raw Wine and Raw Wine Fairs. She is leading the charge globally for greater transparency and promotes growers who work organically, who ferment their wines naturally, and use little to no additives. Napa born Jane Lopes attended the Univ. of Chicago with a degree in Renaissance Lit. Her best laid plans to pursue a Masters Degree got sidetracked by her love of food, wine, and spirits. She worked her way thru Chicago, Nashville, and New York, ultimately landing a Somm job at the legendary Eleven Madison Park. If that’s not enough excitement, Jane packed her bags and moved to Melbourne, Australia to run the beverage program at Attica, arguably Australia’s best restaurant. Jane Lopes received her Master Sommelier certification in 2018, but with a follow-up story not to be believed. Luke Boland has come through some of the most celebrated dining rooms in New York, working with Batali/Bastianich and the Major Food Group at destinations including the Grill and Del Posto to name a few. Luke is an award-winning Sommelier and Beverage professional with a keen eye towards the business. Todd Cavallo left Brooklyn with his wife Crystal in 2016 to try his hand at sustainable food systems. He is the proprietor of Wild Arc Farm, located in the heart of the Hudson Valley, just north of NYC. Wild Arc Farm is a pursuit of sustainable food and beverage production within the small farm environment. Wild Arc is an experiment in biodynamic permaculture and viticulture producing exciting wines like Piquette, Pet Nat, Riesling, hybrid grapes like a carbonic Marquette and more.
