A week ago today we celebrated one of the most underrated holidays of the year. In fact, it's so undervalued a lot of you may have missed it, as we observed it on a Thursday. Four years ago not too long after the election I put out a podcast that encompassed what I then thought was the perfect analogy for the political climate the new administration brought us in. It was right out of a 1970s horror movie. Tonight I revisit that show as well as add on my thoughts about where in this movie we currently are. Specific reasons why I do not trust the US government, no matter who's running it, turned into why I don't really trust the world. I believe that in season one of this how I told the story of why I left the Republican Party, and while I am not a Democrat, I lean Democratic now. In this episode, I am going to run you through why my stance on capital punishment changed. I used to be aggressively anti-capitol punishment and now I am completely pro-death penalty. Today's show was only supposed to be 5 to 10 minutes. Turned out, I had a lot more to say. Over this past weekend Blotus was diagnosed with COVID and spent time at Walter Reed Hospital as a result. Before we find out whether he's going to live or die I just wished to make my feelings known about the whole thing and even for the people who know me, I don't think I feel what y'all might think I feel. So let's take a few minutes and dissect this. This was recorded four days ago. That is important because now I'm beginning to hear other people make the same assertion I made. This is a quick mini episode that we are testing on the feed, as TGD-Minis will get their own show under the new model. Presently there is a lot of migrating feeds and other administration going on in the background in preparation for the new model.  As I was taking an afternoon walk I began to reflect on my time in the Pacific Northwest and realized in two months I will be coming up on 10 years living in Oregon. This is one of the longer shows I have recorded and is basically a series of short episodes I have had in this area since I’ve been here. Towards the end I have an unexpected guest that actually had me cut my thoughts short, so the episode would’ve been longer but it’s cool. I am happy with how it came out. Enjoy!  As much as I love the internet, I also hate it. I am fascinated by it, and afraid of it at the same time. That is part of the reason why I chose to study it post-secondary.  However, the way my studies have gone, they connect mostly at the social angle of technology. I am pursuing a law degree with an emphasis on three areas: criminal, civil rights and technology. In preparing for law school I did my undergrad in sociology. What that means is that in regards to tech I study people’s behavior. It is Memorial Day weekend and reflection on our heroes, lost and fallen, made me realize that while we take today to honor those who were lost and fallen in battle that many of our soldiers come home with bits and pieces of them dead. They might not’ve lost their lives but many come back having lost something, and in a lot of cases, something significant. A small way to help our vets while helping the people is the focus on today’s show. Killing two birds with one stone. If there are actually undecided voters in a race between two people who have saturated every media space in the US and abroad for the past 5 years, then someone is lying. If you can't be bothered to learn about them, why would you go on a TV show to talk about what you need to see from them? While I don't purport to know everything and tend to keep my mouth shut when I'm not well-versed in a topic, I do know how to read. So it's difficult for me not to say something when a fellow Christian misspeaks (especially purposely) about what the Bible says because after all, it's written down.
