Description

The Grey Rooms Podcast is an audio horror fiction podcast. A horror anthology of stories set within a single audio drama narrative, The Grey Rooms takes submissions from authors in the horror community and turns them into fully produced and immersive audio masterpieces.

Our serialized story involves a protagonist named Samantha Winters who is stuck in a strange hotel with no means of escape. Each day she meets with a mysterious man in the hotel lobby who then assigns a room to her. When Samantha enters that room, she experiences the last moments of another person's life right before they die a painful death, only to awaken back at the hotel and start the process again the next day.

Unfortunately, everyone dies at the end on this show, folks. It's scary stuff. And with over 450,000 downloads, the podcast continues to deliver on its promise since day one; 5-star quality scares in an immersive audio environment. Join us and Samantha Winters in Season 2 which began November 29th, 2019.

ya know, I would rate this entire series 10/10 if it wasn't for a couple things that annoy the fuck out of me. 1) having a giant intro listing off every single pateron. but I also get it so I'll just skip. 2) some of the acting feels a bit cheesy but I can also get over that because the stories are great 3) I love the recaps in season 2, but the fucking echoing and unnecessary ear bleeding noise transition is so infuriating, I temporarily turned into a Karen and wrote this comment. even the telephone ringing or the alarm going off in a couple episodes! like it's fine for two or three rings, but why the fuck does it have to continue going? at some point it just turns into an an incredibly annoying filler noise.

"you get to choose between a cool witch story and a telemarketer" "I'll take the telemarketer" me: what the fuck. why?! also me but later on in the story: this.... is both gruesome and satisfying.

First off, the voice actor/author sucks. You can tell he has no experience. Aside from that, the story seems like a cheap fan fiction of what he wants to do in real life. It initially begins as a clever twist on a little red riding hood but develops into a sad and unsatisfying story. If you set the precident that every narrator dies and then subvert it with a story like this, it isn't clever. It's weak, pathetic, and unsatisfying. Hopefully future episodes change this. The overarching narrative is better than some of these stories.
