Description

At Hammer House Project we wonder about a lot of stuff. We wonder just what we would do if we found ourselves delivering speeches to our ex-girlfriends. We think deeply about just how deep deep-space really is. It’s so deep. We search for proof of life on Mars and consult experts on if Medical Marijuana is as awesome as it sounds. It is. Each week we invite an interesting guest, be it an old college buddy who now works in Hollywood or a traveling nurse who happened to be in town, to sit down and discuss the more important things in life. We talk everything, new tech, the best homebrews, or exciting new movies, all with a casual conversational style, some (sometimes crude) humor and well informed opinions. So tune in for some aural pleasure from four guys. Wait. That can’t be right. Well, it does say that right here in my notes. Okay, well, I guess come get aurally pleasured by us dudes.

Jeez. We really gotta work on that toilet humor.

Chelsea and Rob sit down with the Producer and Director of The Off Couple to find out what it takes to make an Indie Film in L.A.  We discuss the ins and outs of film making, look at the complications that come with it and learn about the world of movies.
We are back... once again! Sickness ravaged the hosts of HHP, but we are back and vomiting at least 30% less on average. A lot has happened during our reckoning with the gastrointestinal gods, most of it not enough to catch our very limited attention.  One thing that did managed to divert our focus was the death of 91 Year Old Hugh Hefner, the Playboy magnate and longtime controversial figure. In this episode, Chelsea and Rob look at the legacy of the comic book writer turned porn king and the complicated issues that plagued his life.  Was The Hef a Civil Rights Hero? Or was he another horny old man? We don't know, but we combed through documentaries and very angry articles to try and figure it out. So, it's not cut and dry here, but what good story ever is?
Hammer House is back with our first episode of our 3rd year! We have been away due to traveling and some minor surgery, but we are back and somewhat healthier than ever! This episode we discuss the wicked hurricanes and wild fires ravaging the U.S., we fill you in on what's been going on, and we get ya prepped for a whole new year of Hammer House!
This week Rob opens with poor grammar, Chelsea giggles at Don Jr.'s stupidity, and we break down what the heck is going on with this generation.  Have you heard Millennials are a bunch of social media whores and lazy bums? We have too, and it made us curious. Are Millennials the worst generation to date, or are they just a little misunderstood?  We look into the stats on the largest generation to date, from marriage age to where millennials shop, we look at the ins and outs of the soon to be leaders of the world. The results are much more surprising than you thought!   (To avoid clickbait we will give some of the nitty gritty: Millennials are healthier, more active, more wary of banks and corporations and more diverse than ever. So suck it, Boomers.)
This week Nick stops by with a special treat for the listeners, an interview with a fellow classmate and new friend of Nick's, Joe Ngum from Cameroon! Joe regales us with fascinating stories of life in a small village perched atop a mountain peak in Africa. This week Rob and Chelsea gird their loins for battle with our future Skynet overlords, which may need much less girding than previously believed. They attempt to defeat computer predictors and get excited for the future. This is a fun filled episode devoid of day to day politics that's overwhelming us so much lately. Have fun and tell yo' friends!
It's been a calvalcade of insanity around American politics, and after this week's latest news on Donald Trump we cannot keep stumbling around the bush any longer. We just don't like the big D. Donald that is. The Spray Tan GolDon.  Chelsea and Rob dig into the latest news on the Russia Investigation, but before that they look at a backburnered story of a Penn State Freshman who died after a fraternity initiation party.  This is a dark week with a few silver linings, we find those bright seams in these cloudy issues this episode of Hammer House.
This week Nick and Rob wonder if Mulder is addicted to sex and Hank Moody is just his post FBI life. There's a lot of talk about America and it's perceived greatness and/or weakness lately, but what exactly makes a country great? This week we look at some of the great things that America has done, acknowledge our shortcomings, and find some exciting prospects for our future.  There may be a nearly overwhelming amount of doom and gloom in our news today, but there's still a lot to look forward to as well. So tune in and get excited, it's not all that bad!
Life in America has gotten all too surreal since Trump has taken office as President. So surreal in fact, that Rob and Derek wonder if maybe there are some alternate reasons for this sharp turn right. Rob posits clumsy time travelers have mixed time up something nasty, Derek wonders if this is just a consequence of multiple dimensions and we both agree Putin is a super-villain.  So check it out and tell your friends!
In a world of confusing headlines and even more confusing Presidential tweets, the boys cut through the noise with their signature brand of coarse jokes and deep insights. We discuss the loss of privacy in the digital age, and admit to our own indiscretions. We delve into the continued roll out of legal marijuana and remember some of the more questionable bricks of weed that we came across in the past.   We are back with big laughs and interesting insights to make your day just a bit more interesting, so plug in and enjoy!
