I continue to recount my astonishing 2005 session with Joy the clairvoyant - my first and only brush with psychic reading. A lifelong doubter wary of divination, I sat perplexed as Joy revealed childhood memories, recent bedside encounters, and a guardian presence promising direct contact. I share the warmth, tears, and energy healing that Joy brought, plus the cryptic message that surfaced later. What You’ll Learn Embracing the Unexplainable: How to hold space for experiences that defy rationalisation without forcing belief. Recognising Internal Resonance: Practical steps to distinguish genuine spiritual recognition from suggestion or emotion. Navigating Worldview Shifts: Ways to let curveball moments adapt your beliefs rather than dismiss them outright. This episode is a reminder that sometimes the greatest proofs arrive not as thunderbolts, but as gentle, undeniable warmth - inviting us all to stay curiously open. --- Episode Resources: Join the Conversation on Discord → Join our communityFollow Higher Self Dialogues on Socials → Facebook Page (more channels coming soon).Learn more at higherselfdialogues.com Hosted on Acast. What would happen if, instead of celebrating bonfire night with fireworks and sparklers, we used it to burn away the illusions that hold us back? In this episode, I explore the symbolic power of fire as a tool for letting go and why this Bonfire Night is the perfect moment to release the myths around “abundance”. So much of modern spirituality tells us that wealth and success are simply a matter of believing and manifesting. But what if that story is incomplete? I look closely at why the popular abundance narrative can lead to false hope, distorted goals, and a misunderstanding of spiritual detachment. By putting these illusions on the fire, we make space for a more grounded, honest, and soul-aligned sense of abundance - one that isn’t measured by material success but by inner fullness, clarity, and connection. What You’ll Learn The Fire of Transformation: How symbolic rituals like bonfire night can help us consciously let go of what no longer serves us. The Illusion of Abundance: Why the modern abundance narrative often creates false hope and spiritual guilt. A Truer Abundance: How releasing illusions allows us to align with a deeper, steadier sense of richness and meaning. Bonfire night isn’t just a date on the calendar - it can be a doorway into clarity and renewal. When we let illusions burn away, what remains is something quieter, truer, and far more enduring. --- Episode Resources: Join the Conversation on Discord → Join our communityFollow Higher Self Dialogues on Socials → Facebook Page (more channels coming soon).Learn more at higherselfdialogues.com Hosted on Acast. What if a single, inexplicable moment could change how you see the world forever? In this episode, I return to the Tale of Two Clairvoyants for part two - a story woven from journals, memory, and a sense that something just beyond the ordinary is trying to be heard. I pick up where the last chapter ended: a strange and vivid morning experience, a chance connection with old friends, and two separate clairvoyant messages pointing to one person. What follows is an extraordinary six-hour encounter that leaves sceptic me unable to simply write it off. What You’ll Learn When the Unexplainable Knocks: How unexpected experiences can challenge deeply held beliefs. The Sceptic’s Dilemma: Why even the most rational minds can’t always explain what happens. Opening the Door to Mystery: How one encounter can shift a lifetime’s way of seeing the world. This isn’t about proof or belief. It’s about the space in between - where logic falters, and something unknown takes shape. --- Episode Resources: Join the Conversation on Discord → Join our communityFollow Higher Self Dialogues on Socials → Facebook Page (more channels coming soon).Learn more at higherselfdialogues.com Hosted on Acast. How do we stay human when the world feels divided? In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I step into one of the most emotionally charged issues of our time – immigration – and explore it through the lens of the higher self. Moving beyond the politics, policies, and headlines, this conversation looks beneath the surface, past the noise and fear and reconnect with the shared humanity at the heart of the debate. Through reflective inquiry, research, and spiritual insight, I explore how divisive issues like immigration can become opportunities for growth and deeper understanding. What You’ll Learn Beyond the Surface: Why immigration isn’t just about numbers or borders, but about identity, belonging, and shared humanity. Higher Self in Action: How to stay grounded, open, and compassionate when faced with polarising or painful world events. Bridging the Divide: Practical ways to move beyond “us versus them” thinking and approach complex issues with wisdom and balance. At its core, this episode reminds us that even in times of tension and fear, we have the capacity to respond with clarity, empathy, and integrity. The higher self isn’t distant or abstract – it’s the quiet strength that guides us towards connection, understanding, and hope. Episode Resources: UN Global Compact on Refugees → Learn moreJoin the Conversation on Discord → Join our communityFollow Higher Self Dialogues on Socials → Facebook Page (more channels coming soon).Learn more at higherselfdialogues.com Hosted on Acast. How does a hardline materialist end up on a spiritual path? In this new series of Higher Self Dialogues, I begin by sharing my own story of transformation, one that kicked up a notch in 2005. At that time, I saw life largely through a materialist, physicalist lens - everything explained by science, reason, and logic. Yet what unfolded was an unexpected journey, at times painful and at times exhilarating, that led me toward spirituality, the higher self, and a radically new way of seeing reality. This season is not only about telling my personal story, but also about weaving it together with the experiences of others who have faced similar inner storms. From the collapse of old belief systems, to the search for meaning, to the discovery of something like a “holy grail,” my journey shows just how disruptive and how transformative an inner awakening can be. What You’ll Learn The Spiritual Turn: How a deeply materialist worldview unraveled, opening the way to higher self and transformation. Crisis as Invitation: Why inner change so often feels like crisis, and how confronting doubt and disbelief can deepen self-understanding. Collective Resonance: How personal awakenings, though unique, often mirror archetypal patterns that connect us all. This is more than one story - it’s a mirror for anyone navigating change, doubt, and discovery. A reminder that while transformation can feel isolating, we are never truly alone on the path.  Join the ConversationConnect with our community on Discord and be part of the dialogue beyond the episodes. Find Us OnlineFollow our Facebook page - with more channels coming soon. Be a GuestI’m opening up guest contributions for this season! In this final episode of Season 1 of The Higher Self Dialogues, I turn to a question that feels both strange and inevitable: could artificial intelligence, perhaps our most physicalist creation, actually assist in humanity’s spiritual awakening? From the corridors of data science to the deep inner paths of being, I reflect on how AI, born from a worldview that excludes the soul, might paradoxically become a doorway to the soul’s recognition. Not because it contains spirit itself, but because it may force us to confront what physicalism leaves out - and what we've left behind. Is it possible that AI will help humanity revise its deepest assumptions about reality? Could it assist in developing new ways of knowing that finally include the spiritual? And what might it mean for our collective future if, through AI, we are pushed, not away from spirit but closer to it?This episode holds the paradox: that what seems furthest from the spiritual might become a mirror to it. That the path forward may not be to destroy the old world, but to let it reveal its limits, and in doing so, prepare for what comes next. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I turn toward one of the most urgent and uneasy questions of our time: are we heading towards a Third World War?From a quiet conversation in a Cambridge restaurant five years ago to the growing global rhetoric of conflict today, I reflect on the rising sense that something profound is nearing - a storm, perhaps, but also a turning point. Drawing on both worldly observation and the Higher Self perspective, I explore how this moment of collective uncertainty is not just political, but deeply spiritual. Is war inevitable? Are we witnessing the painful unravelling of karmic energies long overdue for release? This episode holds the paradox: that we may be closer than ever to widespread conflict, and yet never more capable of stepping back from the brink. That what appears to be destruction is also an invitation, a call to greater integration, both individually and collectively. And a reminder that, even now, spiritual presence can change the trajectory of the world. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I explore one of the most painful and paradoxical stages of the spiritual journey: when you meet your own devil face. What happens when, despite your best intentions, you become the one who causes harm? When your actions don’t match your ideals, and you play the very role you thought you’d transcended - the betrayer, the deceiver, the one who breaks hearts rather than heals them?Drawing on personal experience and deep reflection, I share how these moments aren’t signs of spiritual failure, but of deeper integration taking place beneath the surface. And how, in the painful encounters of conflict, heartbreak, and collapse, the Higher Self is quietly at work - bringing you face to face with your hidden misalignments, and calling you beyond them. This episode invites an honest look at the suffering we cause and endure, not only as proof of our brokenness, but as part of the hidden dialogue of souls - guiding us toward compassion, wholeness, and a new kind of strength. In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I explore the subtle but powerful dynamics of defensiveness - both in our personal relationships and in the wider world, as a key to understanding the challenge of spiritual and psychological transformation.Drawing from lived experience and inner reflection, I suggest that what often appears as conflict or resistance is, in many cases, the result of unseen fear, inherited mistrust, and a misreading of reality that causes us to defend when no real threat is present. And yet, ironically, these very defences can create the danger they were meant to prevent. This episode invites you to recognise the fear-based postures we unconsciously adopt—and to see that defencelessness, far from being naïve or weak, may be one of the most courageous alignments we can step into.  Hosted on Acast. In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I explore the experience of spiritual transformation through the unexpected lens of the immigrant journey — not as metaphor alone, but as a deep parallel to the often disorienting passage of changing one's state of being. From the quiet confusion of arrival, through the long process of acclimatisation, to the slow gaining of inner residence and recognition, I trace how the path toward the higher self is not one of instant enlightenment, but of gradual naturalisation into a new way of being.I suggest that what we often experience as spiritual failure or disconnection is, in truth, a sign of transition — not being lost, but being in-between. This is the work of integration: not mastery, but willingness to stay, to learn the new language of soul, and to begin again. This episode invites you to see your own becoming not as inadequacy, but as migration — and to honour the deep courage it takes to leave the known and commit to life in the evolving unknown of your higher self. In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I reflect on the disempowerment many feel when faced with the scale of change needed in our world, and why that feeling, while understandable, isn’t the whole truth. From the vantage of the Higher Self, let's explore the quiet, often invisible realm of “small power”: the subtle acts, the private alignments, the daily refusals to harden or turn away. These are not minor gestures. They are the bedrock of transformation.I suggest that what we often mistake for a failure of hope is really a call to reshape it. Less as faith in outcomes, and more as trust in unseen possibilities. That it’s not about heroic impact, but about staying inwardly aligned in a world that may never validate your effort. This episode invites you to release the myth of macro-change, and instead honour the sacred weight of micro-change. It’s a call to reimagine power, not as dominance or noise, but as presence, integrity, and quiet consistency with the truth of the higher self, even when no one is watching. Hosted on Acast. In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I explore the deep, often disorienting transformation our world is undergoing - a transition where the old world order appears to be collapsing, even as a new, more integrated culture quietly begins to take form. From the perspective of the Higher Self, we look at globalisation and artificial intelligence not as inherently good or evil, but as instruments of a deeper evolutionary process. Though both appear deeply flawed in their current expressions, they also hold the keys to a more unified, spiritually attuned civilisation - if we can learn to engage them with wisdom, not fear and control.I suggest why perfection can never arise fully formed, why things must first be incomplete, and why the world seems so painfully unfinished. And I look at how the delusion of immediate perfection undermines our ability to participate in meaningful change. This episode calls us to move beyond binary thinking and toward holistic discernment - to hold paradox without paralysis, to critique without condemnation, and to act from love, clarity, and spiritual steadiness, even in times of great uncertainty. In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I examine the instinct to protect ourselves through strength, whether militarily, politically, or psychologically, and ask what it truly costs us. Why do we place so much trust in walls, weapons, and alliances to keep us safe? And what if those very strategies are helping create the conflicts they claim to prevent?Through a nuanced consideration of global defense systems such as NATO and the Iron Dome, this episode explores how our fixation on security often stems from fear rather than wisdom. That fear not only shapes our policies but also affects how we see ourselves and others. True peace, it is maintained, does not come from overpowering threats but from outgrowing the mindset that makes them seem inevitable. When we begin to sacrifice the need for control and embrace mutual understanding and integration, we find a different kind of safety - one grounded in connection, not domination. Hosted on Acast. In this episode of Higher Self Dialogues, we explore the fear, confusion, and deep defensiveness that often arise when we talk about “masculine” and “feminine” energy—not as gender identities, but as spiritual polarities within each of us. Why do so many people reject the idea that they contain a masculine or feminine side? What is this fear really protecting? And what might happen if we allowed ourselves to integrate what we've spent years resisting?Moving beyond stereotypes and binaries, this episode invites you to understand the divine masculine and feminine as natural forces—present in the cosmos, in nature, and in your own inner life. Integration doesn’t mean giving anything up. It means adding more keys to your instrument. The more you welcome, the more whole you become. And that, ultimately, is the foundation of spiritual evolution. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
What do we do with the longing for a better world - one that feels more peaceful, more humane, more whole? In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I explore the deep ache many of us carry in times of crisis, and the hidden transformation that suffering invites us into, both personally and collectively. From the soul-weariness of spiritual longing to the bitter truths of our global systems, this episode invites us to stay present in the pain, not to escape it. We are midwives to a new world, and our presence - grounded, clear, and human - is its quiet protest and most needed medicine. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Our spiritual and sexual poles are changing, and this is expressed in and through individuals and changes in the world that happen very quickly at times, and people get afraid, and feel like their identities are being taken away, or under threat. The recent UK Supreme Court Judgement on the meaning of the words "man", "woman" and "sex" in the Equality Act 2010, reveals these fears exist underneath the surface. In this episode, I talk about the underlying dynamics and what we can do about them.  Hosted on Acast. The view from Higher Self is like the view from a mountain top compared to one that's buried deep in the forest - so much is clear, expansive, connected. But living in the polarised world can be a challenge, which calls for taking a position, a limited perspective. How can this be squared? This episode introduces something that I've been developing and finding my way with recently, which is critical spirituality, and how to bridge the gap between duality and non-duality in the here and now.  Hosted on Acast. When it comes to Higher Self - especially in moments of purely spiritual experience - the mind naturally tries (and understandably so) to make sense of it, to categorize it, even to claim it as part of its domain. But this simply doesn't work.In this episode of the Higher Self Dialogues, I reflect on how the mind grapples with what is, by nature, beyond its grasp. Higher Self isn’t something the mind can fully hold or explain - and from the vantage point of higher self, the mind’s effort to do so can seem a little strange and feel uncomfortable.🌀 Themes: Spiritual mind connection Awakening and the mind Feeling uncomfortable with mental resolutions Soul searching and identity Higher Self reflection 🌿 Includes: Higher Self Insight Intuitive Reflection🎙️ The Higher Self Dialogues is a spiritual podcast exploring consciousness, healing, and inner guidance through solo reflections, spiritual inquiry, and direct connection with the Higher Self. In discussing and speaking about or from higher self, it's all too easy (and entirely forgiveable) to speak as though it is a "part" of the self, something to integrate. But this is not the case... In this episode of The Higher Self Dialogues, I explore my own error and over-focus on discussing higher self as being a part of self.
