In episode 5 of The Home Concert Channel, our guest Jose Andrade spoke with us about his experience as a Mariachi performer in and around the San Diego/Tijuana area, the discipline required to be a professional musician, and others who have influenced him in his career. For our fourth episode, we are featuring talented multi-instrumentalist, David Castillo. Armando and Oscar's former boss thoroughly impressed us this week by expanding on his origins in music and on his ability to play several instruments. David largely attributes this to his Filipino upbringing and experience in his church band.

For our third episode, we are featuring musician and film director, Aghostas Murfies. This man is wildly creative and is known for "puking up ideas" as he puts it. We had a ton of fun making this episode and talked with him about the origins of his films and albums. 

For our second episode, we are featuring our longtime friend and big supporter of the show, Andres Morales. He is a talented musician and vocalist so we can't wait to share it with you! The enthusiasm he had for being a part of our new show meant a lot to us and honestly, we could not imagine anyone else as our first (outside) guest on The Home Concert Channel. We chatted with him about his musical beginnings in band classes, his move to San Diego from Tijuana and his favorite bands of today.

What is the Home Concert Channel? A show where we will feature musicians and artists. That includes people who like to write, play or compose music. One of our main goals is to support local artists who may miss the feeling of playing/recording music. So I converted my bedroom into a makeshift studio, it's not perfect, but we hope to get better over time. The Home Concert Channel's first episode is featuring ourselves, Baja Arpé and we talk about how we began and some of the challenges we faced playing a handful of shows around San Diego and Tijuana.
